I had to adjust the Coll. Precomp. from default value of "22" up to "55" to keep the tail from turning counterclockwise during collective climb ups. The question now is what to do with the Cycl. Precomp.? Do I leave Cycl. Precomp. at the default value of "8" or should I increase it to 1/3 the Coll. Precomp. value which would be around "18"?von johnahamelv - VBar VLink

What are the do's and don'ts when performing optimizer flight? 1) Does it matter if it is a windy day like with autotrim? 2) Is the only way to start and stop optimizing by ticking and unticking the Optimizer box, or does a certain collective stick position disengage the Optimizer like "collective stick slightly below center" for autotrim? 3) Can I Optimize the tail and head at thevon johnahamelv - Questions VBar Control Touch
At the field, we generally share small tables. This particular instance, I was adjusting some parameters with the radio sitting on the table in close proximity to the PSU/charger. Now that I know that magnetic interference is an issue, I will of course not position the radio too close to those devices. I just did not appreciate it would be an issue.von johnahamelv - Questions VBar Control Touch
I am curious also, because I am planning on purchasing the new Revolectrix "Touch" charger. If the wonky display issue is related to the iCharger 308 Duo, then no problem, but if the issue is related to the power supply, then the Revolectrix Tough display may act weird also. I figured out the issue. I was using the VBCT too close to the LiPo charger and PSU (iCharger 308 Duo and Chargery 1500W PSU). The issue is reproducible on my VBCT radio and my flying buddy’s VBCT radio. I explained the issue to a 3rd pilot, and before I could finish explaining, he asked me if I was using the radio in close proximity to the charger/PSU. I did not realize that lightness would automatically add collective pitch during hover. I was under the impression "lightness" would only activate when rotating from upright to inverted or vice versa. I tested lightness on the bench. I have the same lightness number on all three banks. Same pitch curves on all three banks also. The major difference between the banks is the throttle %. Does it still make sense for the swash to move down as I switch up the banks, and up as I switch down the banks? **********EDIT************** I thought I had the same lightness number dialed on all three banks. This was not correct.von johnahamelv - Questions VBar Control Touch
Yes. I have lightness dialed. It is a 380 size heli, and lightness makes it more enjoyable to fly. I did not realize that “lightness” would affect collective when switching banks. VBC Touch and Neo VLink with Pro/Rescue. When I switch banks, the swash changes height. The swash lowers when I switch from Bank 1 to Bank 2, and from Bank 2 to Bank 3, and vice versa. I have the same collective pitch curve on all three banks. Throttle (head speed) is the main difference between banks. This is causing the helicopter to change change height when switching banks. I created this guide for my own reference: Neo AutoTrim with VBC Touch Guide Before performing Trim flight: 1) Perform only in calm weather conditions. 2) No other Neo parameter preconditions. 3) Autotrim is a global parameter for all 3 axis. Follow up questions. You mentioned keeping the collective stick at center (0°) to keep the autotrim from collecting data while carrying it to the flight line. 1) Does this mean that the autotrim collects data at negative stick? I was using an Xpert R1T tail servo on Goblin 700 helicopter. The tail travels were around 98 left and 100 right using a 15 mm servo arm hole. I just exchanged the servo for the Xpert KD1T servo. Using the same 15 mm servo arm hole I was using before, now I have tail travels of 110 left and 110 right. I am wondering if this 110/110 travel resolution is a bit too high. I switched from all Kontronik to all YGE T series. I find it really odd that YGE does not have "motor reverse" function. I asked about this issue on the YGE facebook page thinking this was just an oversight, but the YGE representative said a "motor reverse" feature would interfere with the governor algorithm. Any concerns leaving the transmitter LiPo battery fully charged when not in use? Should I attempt to store the transmitter LiPo battery at "storage" charge (approx 3.85v/cell) when I don't plan to use the transmitter for a few weeks?von johnahamelv - Questions VBar Control Touch

I would like to disable the 3 finger screen shot, and just assign screen shot to a momentary switch. This is helpful as it allows me to take a screen shot "on demand" during flight with a switch without taking my hands off the sticks to take a 3 finger screen shot. You can display both the YGE RPM output and the Neo RPM output on the VBC radio simultaneously. For the YGE ESC RPM output, you adjust the gear ratio and the motor pole count via the YGE PC software. For the Neo RPM output, you adjust the gear ratio and motor pole count via the VBC radio.
