Jeti has those adjustable rotating gimbals. I rotated the gimbals to try this more ergonomic orientation, but eventually rotated them back to traditional vertical/horizontal orientation. But it is good to have options. I would be more interested in being able to adjust the stick tension without having to remove the back plate. I would also be interested in having more switch options like Jevon johnahamelv - Questions VBar Control Touch
I think I now understand that too low "Collective Balance" would limit cyclic reserve (in this case elevator cyclic throw) needed to prevent ballooning when doing a high speed pass. However, I do not understand what you mean by "If too high - the maximum possible speed can't reached."von johnahamelv - VBar VLink
The VBCT explains Collective Balance as: Adjustment for the Anti Ballooning System. Use lower values for helis with high collective ranges and vice versa. Set to 35 for 12deg Collective range, 10 for 18deg. However, I still don't understand what it does. What happens if I set it to max value of "50" or whatever the minimum value is, but continue to use ±12.5° collective pitch rvon johnahamelv - VBar VLink
I have the cyclic ring at default "85". I adjusted other parameters to my liking like agility to "113" and Style to "83". I performed optimizer flights on all 3 banks, and the optimizers adjusted into the "60's" range. Is the optimizer in "60's" range OK, or should I increase the cyclic ring (with no binding) in order to lower the optimizer numvon johnahamelv - VBar VLink
In that case, I've been doing it wrong. I've been performing auto optimizer flights with full cyclic stick deflections. I'll perform the auto optimizer flights with 50% stick deflection. Questions: 1) Does this also apply to the rudder stick? Meaning, should I be performing the Tail auto optimizer flights at 50% rudder stick deflection? 2) How many flips/rolls/piros and stops should Ivon johnahamelv - VBar VLink

I agree that the internal accelerometers may not be reliable enough to assign a vital helicopter function to them. However, it should be possible to assign non vital functions to the accelerometers. Such functions include screen shots and parameter announcements. Before I switched to VBCT/Neo VLink I had a radio with internal accelerometers. I configured the radio so that tilting to the leftvon johnahamelv - Questions VBar Control Touch
The Cyclic Ring defaults to "85". How do I know if I need to adjust this value either up or down?von johnahamelv - VBar VLink
1) When performing Auto optimizer flights, does it matter if whether I use full cyclic/tail stick deflection or 75% or so stick deflection? 2) After what other parameter(s) change/adjustments should I perform another Auto optimizer flight?von johnahamelv - VBar VLink
I also fly with my ring finger between the two upper most switches; between switches 1 and 2 and between switches 5 and 6. I reversed the momentary switches 1 and 6 so they sit in the mid position and spring away from me. I fly with switches 2 and 5 in their foremost position to give my fingers as much room as possible. Ok. I'll leave things be then. There are several folks in the VBar Facebook forum who claim the VBar Neo works best when the tail travels are set to 100/100. I have not seen credible evidence to support this claim. Is there any truth to this?von johnahamelv - VBar VLink
I built a Tron 7 helicopter, a 700 size helicopter. I am using RotorTech Ultimate 106mm tail blades. The build manual specified to use 15mm to 16mm servo arm for the tail servo. However, with the 16mm tail servo arm, I could not reach the extremes of travel because the Neo tail travel does not go beyond "120" on either left or right travel. I replaced the 16mm servo arm with a longevon johnahamelv - VBar VLink
I've been trying to understand "Style" parameter for years. High is more Robotic and low is more Vivid. I had a hard time understanding this whole Robotic vs. Vivid thing. Some folks describe it as a "feel". Other folks describe it as, "I don't know how to describe it. You just have to try it." Very helpful. So I played with the "Style" parametervon johnahamelv - Café

I just want to be able to access the saved setups from the convenience of my laptop computer without having to power the VBC Touch radio AND Neo every time. The "old" VBar Utilities app allowed me to achieve this in a very elegant and convenient manner. I'll take the next best thing. Thank you so much for your efforts.von johnahamelv - Café
I really enjoyed your VBar Utilities web based program. I am not happy these guys took it away, and without offering a suitable replacement. But I look forward to your new web based app to decode the saved setups. Consider adding a “Donation” option. Thanks so much!!von johnahamelv - Café

How about for the rest of use who are not computer literate and don't know what "c#" even means. How can I decode a saved setup like it was possible with the VBar Utilities app?von johnahamelv - Café
Thank you Eddi. That helps me understand what is going on internally on the Neo. I am using mounting option #3. No spring board effect (mounting options #1 and #2), and no cylindrical rubber damper (mounting option #4). How about from a more pragmatic point of view. If I am not experiencing issues with either heli, does this mean I can just enjoy flying, or does this mean I should pursuevon johnahamelv - Questions VBar Control Touch
I am understanding this a bit better. I took the following screen shots (see attachments). One is on a Kraken 580 and the other on a Kraken 700. Both helis are known for being "stiff" and conduct vibrations to the FBL plate without much dampening. To make matters worse, I am using a thin 0.5mm thick 3M VHB tape. 94 uneventful flights on the Kraken 580 since the last crash and 18 unvon johnahamelv - Questions VBar Control Touch
Thank you for the reply. In my case, I am more interested in capturing and recording vibration data during flight and viewing this data only after a flight. I ideally, I could view this data in graph format and compare against other parameters (head speed, current, PWM, etc) as well as determine the max vibration values. Is it possible to accomplish this?von johnahamelv - Questions VBar Control Touch

Correct. The VBC Touch will detect the YGE ESC and calibrate the end points automatically (similar to Scorpion Tribunus). This mean that you do not have to perform the high stick and low stick calibration like with most other ESCs. The only ESC programming (for YGE "T" series) you need to do is choose the BEC voltage and the governor (gov, gov store, FBL gov, etc.). You can also avon johnahamelv - Questions VBar Control Touch
My experience now with YGE "T" series is overall more favorable compared to the Kontronik Kosmik's and Jive Pro's the YGE's replaced. The internal governor performance is pretty much the same between the latest Kontronik's and latest YGE's. I like how YGE gives you the option to use the FBL governor if you so desire.
