I have purchase 5 used vbars (silver and blue) I'm attempting to relearn how to transfer these and get them connected to my pc. If I recall correctly I am required to run the recovery software with the USB connected to the vbar to get it to connect to the software. Is there any plausible use for a silver or blue unit without an external sensor to be used as a stand alone reciever? I'm assuming there is no sensor in the main unit for auto trim. But with the touch could I figure that I can set up manual trims to the slider controls on the TX. is there resource posted about log code descriptions? I am having a few re-occurring log codes on various airframes running older mini, and fullsize devices. After updating the tx again, I am still getting this error on the kosmik 200 amp on initial spool up. Log reads "kontronik regler uberstrom". Peak amps are only 128.5 amps. Is there anything else I could try?von 08rangerdan - VPlane/VBasic VLink

I have just downloaded the new apps. when setting up a switch some of the phrases work but other ones do not. is there still some bugs to sort out with this? I'm attempting to setup 'ignition' as a phrase to respond on my option 1 switch in the b position but it will not cooperate. Just thought I'd post an update to outfitting my 700 with zeal gel tape. The tape is really thick, approximately 5mm. It is also very soft. Strapping the device to the helicopter to compress the tape has given me the most satisfactory results. I no longer recieve critical vibes to the device and at the very most I only get occasional raised vibration logs but nothing like before where my logs wervon 08rangerdan - VBar VLink
That's too bad, I suppose I'm out of luck with that. It sure would be a really great feature for vplane to have an rpm function similar to the nitro govenor interface on the helicopter. Without using the sensor hub. So many of these engines have the rpm/tach wire just sitting there. Could this even be considered for a future vplane update? Yes strange, I am not using a timer on that model currently. But I will attempt to look into it more closely next time I'm out flying. I will try the zeal tape and report back with the results of my log file. Hopefully atleast clean them up a little. oh It seems every time the first critical vibration is detected I get some warning beeps every few seconds and the red x on screen beside the log descriptions. wondering if it might be a hidden rpm alarm or some other sort of thing since you mention it. Is there any reason I can't attempt to try zeal gyro mounting pads for a vbar neo? I upgraded my neo to an aluminum case on my 700 electric and now I get constant criticals on spool up and some hard moves that I didn't notice before. From this screen shot I have the cell selection highlighted. When setting up an older vbar mini this evening. I had to use the expert aux setup menu on the touch to setup a specific channel output. When in this menu, it displays a similar setup screen as it does on the classic v control. My problem is with the cursor. During my recent swash setup of my 700, I noticed something I haven't with other setups I've done in the past. I go through the usual setup and I have the swash responding 100% properly in the setup menu and linkages are all the same and at right angles. I have never seen the 'nitro kill switch function' on the radio. That would defeniately help my cause. So I just went digging though the setup tools after reading this, still can't find a specific kill option but I can see an 'esc out' function. I have just finished setting up my sensor to the engine and have just attempted to see if the magnet is seen on the v control. When I turn the motor over by hand, slowly. I see the green indicator box light up, Fairly regularly. I can't say it is 100% consistent on the display.
