Neo express not working with mc-32 and gr-12l receiver

Hello,

My Vbar Neo is not responding to radio commands, no servo movement.

I have this equipment:

- Grauper mc-32 with gr-12L receiver and neo express 6.1

My setup:

- Receiver is properley binded
- SUMD activated on receiver channel 6
- UDI receiver selected in vbar software with HOTT channel mapping
- Vbar Neo AUX1 connected to receiver channel 6

Please, someone can help me? I do not know what I am doing wrong.

Yes, and in the setup process servos never moved.

do you happen to have a different receiver, or a different NEO or legacy VBar, for a cross check?

How's SUMD set up? SUMD 08 (or 06 for the 6L I guess) OF?

Hi,

Tried with two different receivers (one of them new) and same thing.

With telemetry option on mc-32 I can change SUMD at channel 06 on/off:

- With 'off' vbar does not initialize properly.
- With 'on' solid Green from vbar but no responding radio commands.

OK, strange thing: OF means without fail safe, HD means HolD, FS means Fail Safe (programmable servo positions).
This only affects fail safe handling between the receiver and the VBar.

I am not sure about the software versions of Graupner radios and receivers, but maybe it's necessary to update ... seems like changing that part of the setting makes a difference for the VBar, so my guess would be that the UDI (=SUMD on the receiver) protocol is somehow not implemented properly.

I have a regular GR-12 here and all is well, with NEOs as well as with legacy VBars.

I have updated receiver firmware to last version available and still not working.

Maybe my vbar neo unit is failed.

Hi Carles,

well, I would not rule that out in general, but it's very unlikely.

What I can offer is checking the device at our service shop, with the Graupner devices I have here (GR-12 and MX-12), if you would want to send in the receiver, too, I can also check that (with the radio I have), and do a cross check to make sure the signal input is working properly.

There was an other customer with a 12L who had issues but it was never told if he got it to work and how, or if he reverted to a different receiver.

I am waiting for a new receiver GR-12, I have tried two GR-12L and I want to try GR-12. If this not works then I will accept your kind offer and I will sent to you my vbar unit and receiver.

Now working perfect with GR-12 receiver !

Some kind of incompatibility is present with GR-12L type receiver.
