Vbar RX only redundancy

Ripped out my futaba gear and bought a Vbar RX only and oh my god I love it. It's awesome only using my vcontrol now between my helis and plane. I want to get a larger plane and want to include redundancy. On vstabi I can only find redundancy instructions for the vbar neo/evo with gyro. But what if I don't want to use a gyro, for competitions for example? Can I not use 2 x vbar RX only linked for redundancy or can you only do this with the gyro versions only?

afaik, no. RX Only is what the name says.

But I'm actually not sure if you could use a VBar NEO with Extender firmware (or EVO, for the later RX Only based on EVO receiver hardware).
Extender is also what it is, just a servo port and receiver extender.

In fact, VBar NEO or EVO with VBasic firmware is also just a receiver, without stabilization, so perfectly suitable for competition where stabilization is not allowed. But good luck with explaining that to officials who often still seem to be stuck in the 72/35 MHz technological era

Yes, it should do. NEO RX Only and NEO Extender can run in redundant mode. Same for EVO "vbasic" and EVO Extender. EVO is not sold currently as RX Only, but the Firmware can be activated for a regular EVO on an request.

What do you mean Neo extender? Vbasic

2 Neo RX only (9 channel)
1 x Neo non Vlink with Vcontrol Satelite

You can NOT use 2 NEO RX only. You can also NOT use a NEO with external sat, also NOT a EVO with NEO.

The primary device MUST be a NEO RX only 9ch OR NEO VBasic VLink OR NEO VBar (can be flashed with VBasic upon request) VLink.

The secondary one MUST be able to be flashed with the VExtender Firmware - which requires a NEO VBasic VLink or NEO VBar VLink (self-enable in store)
