NEO auf EVO umstellen

Um ein bestehendes Modell von NEO auf EVO umzustellen geht man so vor:

- NEO bleibt erstmal im Modell
- Setup mit VBCt/e sichern
- EVO upgraden falls Pro/Rescue auf NEO war
- EVO mit neuem Setup aus dem Sender versehen, Wizard einmal durchklicken
- Oben gesichertes Setup auf EVO laden
- Regler- und Servofrequenzen einstellen (Regler 72Hz, Taumelscheibe 144Hz zu Beginn)
- Alle neuen Werte in Hauptrotor / Heckrotor prüfen, ggf. auf Null setzen
- NEO aus Modell ausbauen, EVO einbauen
- Vorflugkontrolle nicht vergessen!

Converting from NEO to EVO

Please do the procedure below to convert a existing model:

- NEO stays in the Model
- Save the Setup with a VBCt/e
- Upgrade EVO to the same level as NEO
- Load a new Model setup to EVO, walk through the wizard once
- Restore the previously saved Setup to the EVO
- Set Servo / ESC frequencies as Default for Beginning (Swash 144 Hz, ESC 72 Hz)
- Check new Values in Mainrotor and Tailrotor, zero them if set for first start
- remove NEO from Model, mount EVO
- don't forget a pre-flight-check

Regler Frameraten

Zunächst mal gilt dass eine Framerate über 72 Hz (was auch ungesetzt Default ist)nur Sinn bei VGov macht - alles Andere ist ja eh "Flatline".

Des Weiteren kommt es auch immer auf das interne Handling des Reglers an was er verträgt und auch ggf. spielen Gaswege Limitierungen im Regler bei Vollgas und hohen Frameraten (Stichwort - zuwenig "Lücke" eine Rolle. Also - im Zweifel bitte immer den Reglerhersteller fragen und vor dem ersten Flug mit höheren Frequenzen ausgiebige Werkbanktests machen.

Von uns selbst ermittelt wurden folgende Beispiele:

- YGE 205 HVT, 333 Hz, Spoolup Limit 2
- YGE 95 LVT, nur 72 Hz nehmen
- HW 150 LV V5, 333 Hz
- Scorpion Tribunus 14-300A, 333 Hz

ESC Framerates

A Framerate of 72Hz is Default - even if unset. It will only make sense to use a higher one in VGov mode -as all others are "Flatline" values.

How much we can use depends also on the internal throttle handling of the ESC. Porbably it will get out of sync using too high rates and throttle values. So - in doubt please ask the ESC manufacturer and do some bench tests before maiden a heil with higher framerates.

We have proven some examples here:

- YGE 205 HVT, 333 Hz, Spoolup Limit 2
- YGE 95 LVT, use 72 Hz only
- HW 150 LV V5, 333 Hz
- Scorpion Tribunus 14-300A, 333 Hz

Taumelscheiben Servo Frameraten

Zunächst mal gilt dass eine Framerate von 144 Hz auch ungesetzt Default ist.

Des Weiteren kommt es auch immer auf das interne Handling des Servos an was er verträgt und auch ggf. spielen Weglimitierungen im Servo bei Vollausschlag und hohen Frameraten (Stichwort - zuwenig "Lücke" ) eine Rolle. Also - im Zweifel bitte immer den Servohersteller fragen und vor dem ersten Flug mit höheren Frequenzen ausgiebige Werkbanktests machen (Kraft in Endlagen und Erwärmung prüfen). Bitte auch RC Spannungsversorgung und ggf. Empfängerakkulaufzeit prüfen - höhere Frequenzen ziehen i.d.R mehr Stromverbrauch nach sich!

Von uns selbst ermittelt wurden folgende Beispiele:

- Savox 1257 @1500us 333 Hz
- KST X20-2208 @1500us 333 Hz
- Futaba BLS 351 @ 1500us 333 Hz
- Futaba BLS 177 SV @ 1500us 333 Hz

Swash Framerates

A Framerate of 144Hz is Default - even if unset.

How much we can use depends also on the internal handling of the Servo. Probably it will get out of sync using too high rates and throw values. So - in doubt please ask the Servo manufacturer and do some bench tests before maiden a heil with higher framerates (Check force in end positions and also temperature). Please also check RC Power consumption, probably Battery use time. Higher framerates will result in more servo power consumption in most cases!

We have proven some examples here:

- Savox 1257 @1500us 333 Hz
- KST X20-2208 @1500us 333 Hz
- Futaba BLS 351 @ 1500us 333 Hz
- Futaba BLS 177 SV @ 1500us 333 Hz

Es immer auf das interne Handling des Servos an was er verträgt und auch ggf. spielen Weglimitierungen im Servo bei Vollausschlag und hohen Frameraten (Stichwort - zuwenig "Lücke" ) eine Rolle. Also - im Zweifel bitte immer den Servohersteller fragen und vor dem ersten Flug mit höheren Frequenzen ausgiebige Werkbanktests machen (Kraft in Endlagen und Erwärmung prüfen).

760 us on Swashplate - please read this from Ulrich:

Unfortunately there is no real specification that gives exact marigns for values and ranges, so it may vary within certain tolerances. Our output is pretty accurate. Changing to 760 on the Swash is still mostly useless, please think twice if it is worth the risk to change good setups.

My 2 Words ... it is always "higher, faster etc." in the numbers of factsheets - even on the servos. But please consider when it makes sense or not to follow up the highest rate we can get. From our experience - swash servo frequencies above 333hz can be used - but in most cases w/o any improvement, sometimes it gets even worse.

So - please don't chase each hype given by others just because "we can" - but do changes in a useful way.
