New Li-Ion battery for VBCe

Hi all

I see that there are now a new Li-Ion 7000 mAh pack for the VBCe.

A few questions
1. Were any changes made to the charging circuit on the main board?
2. Can the original LiPo cell still be used on its own by removing the Li-Ion pack?
3. Are the 2P cells balanced while charging? Balance circuitry build into pack?
4. Cells size, one would assume it is the 18650 3500mAh, correct or not?
5. Can this pack be retrofitted to previous radios. VBCt and VBC?
6. Any changes in capacity indication on home screen? Li-Ion have different fully discharged voltages to LiPo and some Li-Ion cells are fully charged at 4.4V depending on chemistry makeup.

3 "P" Cells do not need ballancing, since they are parallel
4 yes. Note that even if they are called 18, they usually are not really 18mm.
6 no. The chemistry is LiIon with full voltage of 4.2V, same as pouch cells. On the discharge side, there is plenty of safety margin anyway.

5. Touch, yes, classic has yet to be verified. As spares, they will come with the plastic holder required for mounting, and with instructions.
