Hi,

if you disconnect the tail control rod, and do a—careful—test run on the ground, first without tail blades, and move the rod, how much resistance to you feel? This is what the servo has to overcome, and with tail blades, the force will multiply.

Please also check the bell crank, if it was very tight, it could also cause this.

And last, the tail pitch slider, if you cant it slightly and move it by hand—at best, disconnect the control rod and the tail pitch plate, do you feel increased resistance?

Kind regards

Install it with the 12mm washers Mikado Logo 700 Tail Rotor Hub Set (Complete)

some vbar parameter to change and test

Hi Eddi

I got a tail wag on new Logo 550.
1. The tail control rod and slider can move smooth and easily by hand.
2. I tested run on the ground without blade and I can feel the resistance increase ,the tail grips wouldn't spring back to zero pitch when I move the bell crank.

So, I think it is a thrust bearing issue.
What is the solution for thrust bearing issue ? thank you.

Hi Victor,

do you happen to have access to a similar LOGO, from which you could swap the whole tail rotor assembly, for a cross check?
That would be to narrow it down.

Then, you could exchange the blade grips between the two, to narrow it down more, to the bearings (or the hub, not very likely but still ...).

Or you could try new thrust bearings right away—if the tracks in the bearing were not OK, or the balls, or the cage was bent ever so slightly, it could cause binding under load.

Kind regards

Solved.
I bought a new tail assembly (MIK4615).
I found the new one has less axial play and radial play.
The tail performance is better.
