Logo 700 bad day

So...
Crashed it.
Lost all orientation in a loop and got complete brain freeze despite having rescue in the NEO..
This one is on me my fellow Logo 700 friends!

Enjoy!

Checked the heli today and I got to say it is a tank.
I put it straight in the dirt and the whole frame is still in perfect condition.
Canopy, blades and boom stuff is gone, tail house and tail blades are OK.
Mostly bearings and shafts that needs to be replaced (that was expected).

Sadly blades and canopy is out of stock..

Will try RT blades and (hopefully) flying with the broken canopy.

All electronics made it, one of the servoarms had stripped splines, servo still OK.
So I will have to ask Mikado for the nicely made Logo 700 servoarms (no parts number yet).

Hi there,
Sorry for your loss... for what is worth it, maybe it is a good idea to practice with the rescue. If you get customized to use it once in a while during flight, you will automitically use it more easilly in case of emergency...things go really fast if you loose "control" or orientation...

Good luck with the repair man !

Hi
Thanks
Yeah, this was the worst case of brain fart ever.. :-)
I definitively have to work on using the rescue as a part of normal practice.

Hoping for quick delivery of spares.

Ugh. Sorry for your crash. I have done the same thing already with Rescue. When normally I would try to hit T/H and level and minimize damage, my brain just froze. I didn't hit T/H. I didn't hit rescue. And, it just went in full tilt. In my case it was a little Gaui X5. But, those things don't crash well. I think your repair will be cheaper than mine was.

I've been practicing Rescue a few times each flight now. I've already saved my Logo 600 at least once now. Just gotta use it often to retrain your fingers.

Good luck getting her back up in the air. I'm still waiting for my 700 preorder to arrive in some months :-(

Hi Hakan,

i´m sorry for your crash sad smiley

The Servo horns are already in the Mikado shop Servo Horns Futaba
You just have to drill a 3mm hole in them, thats what we do too.

Greetings

Thanks guys!
Yeah, spare parts are in the post office ready to pick up tomorrow.
Canopy and blades is another story, demand seems to be so big that it will take awhile to get new ones.
I will run Rotortech 690 and try to repair the canopy.

Hopefully I get some build time this weekend

Ralf kindly replied about the servo arms!!

I think your experience is indicative of why I personally don't have rescue installed on my heli. It is simply that I don't think if I ever really had to use it to save my heli, I would be able to command my finger to flip the switch in time. I know on the two crashes I have had, I wasn't able to hit TH until after the collision with the ground. I'm not saying others will be in the same situation as myself, or that there might be some instance where it would work, but for me, I just don't see me ever being able to get it activated in time.

ROI after one avoided crash .... yes you 'need to learn' to hit the switch but great and save me a few times thumbs up
