VBC & HW Platinum Pro HV 200A V4 W/Hobbywing App

So I have the original V-Bar Control and HW 200A OPTO V4 HV ESC on my Logo 700.

The HW firmware loaded now is PL200-04.0.04

I know Mikado has a new HW app out for the VBCt that allows you to adjust the HW from the radio. It was said however, that the new firmware wasn't yet available for the original VBC.

Can someone tell me if this is still the case?

I had connected and synced my VBC with the V-Stabi site to update the clock yesterday. I then saw and downloaded the new Hobbywing app to my VBC (non-touch). I have not powered up the heli yet but, it's my understanding that I need to update the HW ESC before they will connect.

The instructions from Hobbywing's site state:

"at present, only Platinum V4/V4.1 supports VBAR NEO Telemetry function. Platinum V3 ESC, Platinum HV 160A V4?Platinum HV 200A OPTO V4 ESC do not support this function."

I guess this means I cannot use the app at the moment. I'm assuming however, that I can still fly without the HW ESC update, even if the app is loaded onto my VBC?

Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

Apps will only function if the hardware are present. So yes just use it as before.

VControl, VBar on all.

I hope at some point HW adds an update that will allow me to use the app with my 200HV Opto ESC and classic VBC.
