Hello!
How can I use VControl Touch with simulators like RealFlight and Phoenix?
I have these adapters, but the program does not see VControl Touch.

Hello,

VBar Control Touch and EVO appear on a computer as USB Joysticks, no adapter or driver required.
Any simulator which can work with that can work with VBar Control.

VBar Control is fully digital, so there is no analog buddy connector, like on older radios.

With the radio on a WiFi, and with the corresponding App loaded onto the radio, it also works with Heli-X, and it will work with Reflex XTR, in the near future.

One option could be: take a VBar NEO VBasic, set the digital output to non-digital PPM8 or PPM12 (or ... reverse), connect the adapter to AUX 1 (signal and ground with proper polarity). You can manage the output channels by editing the E1xxx Macrocells.

A bit cumbersome, but then it would also be wireless. You could even power the NEO VBasic from the computer, from USB, 5 V to one of the regular servo connectors, with a MacGyvered wire. Just without anything else connected (like servos), the computer could not deliver enough power. I'm just saying ... the latter, if tried, could damage the computer winking smiley

Kind regards

Thx Eddi
It certainly isn't cheap confused smiley
What does "MacGyvered wire" mean?

Hi,

it means something like that, USB power supply to VBar NEO, audio jack wire to simulator thingy.

Kind regards

If I understood correctly - you offer to buy something that you no longer sell?

Maybe there is a pinout or diagram?

Hi again,

actually, the image shall only serve as an explanation.

(Older) simulators often have those (old) audio jack interfaces.
They normally use ground (need to check the interface) and signal, and the wire would connect to AUX1 on a VBar NEO VBasic, set to PPM8/12 or /reverse in Macrocells settings, depending on what signal the simulator interface can work with, and the channels can be programmed freely.

Then, the VBar NEO VBasic needs power.

You can either use a receiver power supply, or, since you are at the computer anyways, you can use a spare USB connector and a spare servo wire, patch wire, and steal 5 V from the computer. The pinout is no secret, it's standard USB.
Just mind that if you cause a short circuit on a USB connector of a computer, you can damage it permanently.

VSim was an interim solution back in 2015: it cost EUR 99.00 (full set) and could only be used for that single purpose.
And the channel assignment was fixed to a common default, which did probably not work with every interface or simulator, so it was hit-or-miss, same as if you couldn't be 100 % sure if your particular radio's buddy port would work with any simulator.

Now we recommend VBasic (EUR 119.00) which is much more versatile, which can connect to RX2Sim, to any adapter which uses PPM, or which can be used as a receiver, or even be updated to VBar NEO Pro/+Rescue.

Or, better, use a simulator which makes use of the WiFi interface we have ... any developer of such can contact us, get the spec, and implement it.

Kind regards

Eddie,
thanks for answering the question - is there an electronic circuit in the USB connector.

Hi,

no, it's just the electrical connection.
