Vbar control Manager network connection

I've just taken delivery of my vbar control and tried to connect it to the Vbar control manager. It looks as if it wont connect through our proxy at work. Is there a way to tell it what proxy server to use to get through the firewall?

it's probably only a port rule that has to be added: 1:65535 > 20180 should be the one required.

Your network admin should be able to see in the firewall's live log what traffic is being blocked when you connect VBar Control.

In the office building where I have my service office, I had to do this, too, because the firewall rules are pretty strict.

Looks like I'll have to wait until I get home then, it would take our IS dept. a week to do that

It's a shame as I wanted it to do the updates while I was here so I could have more time with it this evening that's all.
