Tail wag Logo 550

Hi guys

I have a tail wave problem on my 550 (New nov2017)

So esc kontronik kolibri 140lv
Servo Savox (frequence it's ok)
RPM 2100
Vbc & Neo

i changed the main axe 04074 and rebuilt the tail (2-3x...), it's my 5 logos and it's the first time that arrive at me.

no change...

Hello Romain,

do you have a LOGO from which you can borrow the tail rotor, for a cross check?

This way we could narrow down the cause and maybe rule out VBar, Setup, linkage already.

For the moment i have just the 690&700 with me the others parts are with my father so i can't check..

In an other post there was a problem with the part #4630 maybe i can check it and share you the measure or pictures about it

Hi Romain,

04630 may two spacers 0.5 mm thick, between the socket head cap screw and the thrust bearing/hub, else the screw might stop where the thread ends in the hub, and you might have a 0.2/0.3 mm offset between the two because of the threads.

This in turn can cause an imbalance, and a tail wag.

The hubs themselves are accurate to size, I did take samples myself, but the threads in it might not be exactly the same, like one turn of a thread difference.

So i changed the tail with my 690 and it works very well. So there is a problem with the original part..

where did you buy from? Either your dealer can provide you with parts or a replacement tail rotor, or please open a service request here www.vstabi.info/rma and we will see to it.

I would of course be curious to see and measure and try the original parts myself, maybe we can learn something from it.

Interesting to hear. Does this mean that the 550 and 690 tail parts are the same or are there differences?

Hi,

the tail rotor hub and blade grips are the same, the whole tail assembly actually. Just compare the spare part numbers, for the tail rotor, on both.
