Updated 500/600 Frames?

SO I saw some pics of the new Mikado 500 600 frames on Mikado USA facebook site. Very excited!
Can anyone tell me how much more height wise space these new frames are for battery fitting?

When will they be available for purchase?

How do they compare weight wise to the older plastic frames?

One thing I don't understand is if they can handle taller lipos, and these frames still can use the original canopies, how is this possible???

I noticed that MikadoUSA FB account announced the new 550SX Frame set.
I'm guessing this frame set is the same for a Logo 600 / 600SX / 690SX?

Will this new frame set allow for taller lipos?

Hi,

if the frames would be the same, why we called it 550SX frame set?.

There are minor differences between all frame sets (tail boom mounting, frame stiffener etc.) and of course the sets for LOGO 600 and 690 will follow shortly. But You have to start with one. So this is for the 550 only.

It will be available within the next days. The new frame allows a taller lipo battery, don't ask for the mm, I do not have any numbers in mind, the weight difference is not worth mentioning. Including the frame stiffener it's only a few gramms, I will try to measure exactly.

If You take a look in You existing chassis there is lots of unused space at the bottom and also a few mm more to go. And even with the new battery tray there is much more space than before.

if the new frames for the 690SX were the new 700 we might would have called it 700 frames and not 690SX frames, right?

Hi,

in earnest: the molded frames are the same, as they were for the 500 to 690 in the past.

But the little parts you need differ, so there will be different upgrade kits.

And indeed, the 700 is a different kind of animal
