silverline dead?

been having some issues on a GX4 "NX4 gasser" would die after 2 minutes high rpm, Vbar would still be on and active, heli would lite back up after a 10 minute cool down. The last time it would not initialize... So I thought ok found the issue as could be a bad BEC..... Took out bec today and tested on another receiver and works fine, supplied clean voltage to the silverline and nothing?
Seen a couple posts that the sensor could cause this??? both are new units, and have been fighting this "engine" issue off and on for over a year as time/weather permit......really cant see the 2 related....but now the silverline not initializing???
Any thoughts?

Well - even if the SL does not init - it can be connected to the PC for reading/saving the logfile. Would be nice to know ;-)

Does the sensor LED light up or not?
Is the sensor connected to the right port?
Was there anything else connected to "servo" on the backside next to USB?

no the sensor does not lite, eroded on the forum, this has version 6 vcontrol
nothing changed on the connections, was working fine

Reason - if the electrical conduction (+) was overloaded there - the Stabi won't work ...

test: Use a patch cable, remove orange wire and connect "servo" with e.g. ch4

Hi rainer yes servo port has the throttle servo attached, rpm pickup on the sensorrII port
so you want to jump sero to ch4 no signal wire correct?

OK - have you tried w/o other stuff connected, just the VBar, Sensor and a battery?

Hi again, everything disconnected except sensor and sat, sensor powers on but get user defined main screen cant be found?

ok disregard the user screen error, had updated the radio today and seams it turned on user screen app.
SL will connect.. guess I will have to start looking at what is causing it?

update, if rpm sensor is connected,and powered on it will not initialize, un-power,disconnect rpm and plug in throttle servo, power up and get several servos start jumping?
disconnect power with throttle servo still connected, reconnect, servos jumping, redo again and will initialize fine?

and what does the event log say?

Hi with rpm sensor connected, no log as never initializes
With throttle servo connected,

reset reason: power on
Bank 1 loaded
Gov stop
Gov in motortune mode
calibration finished
" yet servos still jumping"

Power off and on till a clean initialize:
reset reason: power on
Bank 1 loaded
Gov stop
Gov in motortune mode

Hi rv, just an update....
Gasser actually had 3 issue's, which blows me away...
1) rpm sensor is nfg... not the sensors problem, was an issue with the align fan warping under the heat from the engine,
not sure why there are tonne's of thread's to loose the plastic and go metal ?
Upon dis-assembly I noticed vary faint rub marks on 1/2 of the fan, sensor showed rubbing also
AKA why it ran fine for 2 minutes than shut down. ordered and replaced with a Spartan sensor, and stock plastic fan. all fine with initialization.

2) replaced the gaui throttle servo with a used align servo, that stopped the throttle servo jumping, but did not correct the gaui aileron servo jumping....
3) has to also be an issue with it..... Possibly a bad? batch of gs-511"s ?

Taking out tomorrow to test, spin up under carport was fine after I got the vbar to initialize....

One thing I still don't understand is...
Why when the servos are jumping on initialization.....the log states "calibration complete" ?

And when it initializes with no issues, that is NOT displayed?

Servo problem I assume?

hmm - ok - can you temporaray use one other servo on the swash (other brand/type) to check it isn't a servo related thing?
