When personalizing the displays, where do I find the "..." shortcuts?by johnahamelv - Questions VBar Control Touch
I may have found in bug after upgrading to V8. For the tail gain displayed in the bottom display, the default tail gain displayed reads "60", but if I try using the shorter version (VBar >> Tail Gain), it displays "30" even though the tail gain is "60".by johnahamelv - Questions VBar Control Touch
I am personalizing the bottom display. How do I get rid of the enclosing lines?by johnahamelv - Questions VBar Control Touch
Oh. I did not realize that was even an option. I'll try it. Thank you!!by johnahamelv - Questions VBar Control Touch
I upgraded the EVO units from V7 to V8. I am very happy with the overall improved flight performance of V8. However, this V8 improved performance comes with the cost of giving up the bottom display where I had my telemetry values along with a few "quick access" parameters. This display window is now replaced by a "Banks" window. I like this "Banks" display, but Iby johnahamelv - Questions VBar Control Touch
It is my understanding that the AccuRC developers abandoned the AccuRC simulator project a while back. The list of actively supported "popular" simulators these days include Heli-X, neXt, and RealFlight. There are other RC flight simulators that include helicopters, but they don't seem to be very popular.by johnahamelv - Questions VBar Control Touch
I see what the problem is. There is more than one "Archive". You are referring to the "Archive" under the "Transmitter Setup" menu. This "Archive" gives the "Battery View" menu, which presents the entire list of batteries. The only way to access this menu is to NOT be connected to the VBar unit. If the radio is connected to the VBar unit, thiby johnahamelv - Questions VBar Control Touch
I do not know what you mean by "archive". When I turn on the VBC EVO radio (and not power a Neo or EVO), and I scroll down on the display, I have these options: 1. Archive 2. Pre Last Flight 3. Last Flight When I press on that "Archive" option, all I see are the logs for the individual helicopter models. I do not see any option to delete batteries from there.by johnahamelv - Questions VBar Control Touch
My VBC EVO radio has lots of batteries in the catalog list I no longer use. I want to delete these batteries. Long press on the battery does not bring an option to delete the battery like in the past. How do I delete batteries from the list?by johnahamelv - Questions VBar Control Touch
When will Mikado aluminum cases be available for sale for existing EVOs with plastic cases?by johnahamelv - VBar VLink
I generally like to land with batteries at 3.74V/cell. I am able to customize my Jeti radios, so that I can get an announcement at 100 mah prior to 80% capacity depletion. This gives me plenty of time to take the helicopter up high for an autorotation. I generally fly my current batteries to ~3200mah capacity consumption. This means each 10% increment announcement on the VBC radio is roughlyby johnahamelv - Café
After fiddling with this some more, it turns out the real problem causing the helicopter to lean back during flight was a bad servo. I replaced all 3 cyclic servos, and now the helicopter is performing really well as expected. It is performing so well, I forgot to check vibrations levels.by johnahamelv - VBar VLink
Thank you for the response. I appreciate the suggestion of "fooling" the system by decreasing the battery capacity percentage, but I was hoping for a more elegant solution. Thank you.by johnahamelv - Café
I like how the VBC radio announces battery capacity remaining in 10% intervals. However, I have trouble estimating the last 3% to 5% capacity remaining. I would like to learn when I have only 3% or 5% battery capacity left, so I can prepare my landing routine more efficiently. Would it be possible to add a 3% or 5% battery capacity remaining option?by johnahamelv - Café
I am getting the "Error;Extreme Vibration Level" in the logs pretty much the entire flight. This is a 8S Tron Dnamic helicopter flown mostly at 1600rpm. I originally built this helicopter with a Spirit GTR unit, and it was flying fine. I replaced the Spirit GTR with a V2 EVO unit which is showing these "Error;Extreme Vibration Level" messages in the logs. I checked the mby johnahamelv - VBar VLink

Hello Eddie, Thank you for clarifying the questions I had. Why did I even ask the questions? When I try setting up the tail at the bench, if I am not able to find a servo arm that is dead on 90° to the tail rod at neutral when the tail servo is powered on, I may end up with quite uneven tail slider travel numbers, something like 120/80. Yes, I understand that these uneven numbers work weby johnahamelv - Café
Correct. I understand you the developers have a certain way you expect the VBar to be used. Your way works well. No doubt about it. I am still wondering about the questions in the original post. 1) Can a pilot use the "tail trim" in the "AutoTrim" menu as a replacement for the lack of specific tail servo sub-trim during the bench setup? 2) Are there any negative coby johnahamelv - Café
I do hope you figure out a way to bring them back.by johnahamelv - Café
Since around firmware 5.2, VBar has not had tail servo arm "sub-trim" capabilities; just sub-trim capabilities only for the cyclic servo arm. There is currently a discussion on Facebook about using the "tail trim" in the "AutoTrim" menu to serve as the same purpose as "tail servo arm sub-trim". Can tail trim in the AutoTrim menu be used as a replacemeby johnahamelv - Café

I recently configured a new helicopter model, and I noticed the virtual keyboard has only a single punctuation mark character to choose from; an underscore". Any reason Mikado is limiting the punctuation mark characters in the virtual keyboard? Whatever happened to other characters like "hyphen", "period", "comma", etc.?by johnahamelv - Café

Hello Rainer, I have personal experience using RFID tags from the Revolectrix Bump Control days. I am glad I tried the RFID tags, but it is not something I want to pursue any more. I am happy with the functionality of the “favorite batteries”, but I would be even happier if the line of code replaced the “5” with a larger number like “12”, “15”, or even “20”. Thank yoby johnahamelv - Café
I find the "favorite batteries" per helicopter feature very convenient, but limiting to only 5 "favorite battery" limits the usefulness of this feature. Is it possible to increase the "favorite batteries" from 5 to a more useful number like 10, 12, or even 20 "favorite batteries" per model?by johnahamelv - Café
