for the record, i got the USBasp device and flashed it with the custom firmware from the helifreak link and it works perfectly. I'm not sure what went wrong with my realflight interlink passthrough function. I'm 100% sure it used to work with the same vsim box i'm using now with the USBasp dongle I just made. And, like you said above, I guess some of the chinese cracked USB dongles are differevon cudaboy_71 - Café
i have this 'realflight elite interlink' controller that came with the original realflight G4 (not mine on ebay of course, but looks the same) https://www.ebay.com/itm/205261132129 I have also verified as you said: i have signal on the tip of the 3.5mm plug, and ground on the lower and upper portion of the ring. so, it should not matter which ring the adapter cable is reading from, it willvon cudaboy_71 - Café
i had some delays while i researched what i'm trying to do. but, #1 I've had this working before exactly as i'm trying to do now, with 2 exceptions: windows 7 pro as PC OS, and Vcontrol classic (which i no longer have)...so, just the EVO now. so, for now i'm leaving the PC simulator software out of the equation. i've limited my goal to just getting the windows game controller control panel tovon cudaboy_71 - Café
I am on my 3rd combination of hardware to try to get a usable wireless sim. i have gotten the wireless sim app to work, but 2.4ghz is simply too congested for me to use it reliably. (yes, iphone hotspot works well, but is not a viable solution for this total solution i am trying to achieve) So, i am back to the old Vsim software and the MIK4928 cables (connected to an old black vbar and satellvon cudaboy_71 - Café
i tried your suggestions, pc and vcontrol connected to my iphone hotspot. i used the sim for an hour straight with zero issues. so, i guess i chalk this one up to network congestion. i do have two teens gaming on separate PCs, but they are on wired connections, albeit on the same subnet. in any case, i'm just happy there's no issue with the vcontrol. i can still live with the slow software updvon cudaboy_71 - Café
I guess your last comment brings this conversation full circle. So, now I have the IP UDP app installed and heli-x finds the radio. But it is unusable. The radio constantly appears and disappears and reappears in the app, putting up a dialog box each time. And, when the radio is connected there is so much lag in the radio commands that the model is uncontrollable (this is not the case of course wvon cudaboy_71 - Café
This has always been the case with this transmitter since new. It always takes a long time for updates. I have tried from my work office getting 500Mbps, my home that gets between 50-80Mbps, and my phone as a hotspot using LTE 100-120Mbps. I just verified my home network and phone LTE are within that range to Frankfurt DE. *shrug* everything else seems to work fine on the vcontrol—just a slow wvon cudaboy_71 - Café
Ultimately, resetting the language worked. Thank you!! To answer your questions, before I changed language I had done app updater several times and had zero errors. Resetting the language took 25 minutes to load each time. But after this had been put back to English the wireless sim app showed as uninstalled. So, I clicked install. Here’s a quick video showing the vcontrol is on a 2.4ghz network (same as the pc); sim via wifi installed and activated, but no IP UDP Simulator in the applications folder https://youtube.com/shorts/vVLG837rKNI?si=vvzemmuavWZMYhNvvon cudaboy_71 - Café
Yes, this has already been done. Installed and active armed with the green tick box. Restarted the vcontrol. Re-updated the software. But no IP UDP sim. I can post a video if you like. But I followed the instructions as in the video. I just don’t have the application to modifyvon cudaboy_71 - Café
I'm trying to get wireless sim from vcontrol EVO to heli-x I think I understand the prerequisites. But, maybe i'm missing something. I watched several different youtube videos following along, including the one from the heli-x website itself, which shows to click the Vcontrol touch IP button in global settings. i was finally able to find a pc and install the vbar control software. as soon as it connected it immediately began flashing green/red. so, i unplugged the USB cable and then the vcontrol bound to the evo no problem. #1 why isn't the mac software being maintained? you should put a note that it is not fully functional for EVO . it would have saved a lot of hair pulling (I never had any issue revon cudaboy_71 - Café

this may sound dumb. i have a brand new vbar evo. it has never been installed on a model. i remember i got it a few months ago and upgraded it to pro/rescue. but, that was through vbar control manager on PC. Exactly the point I made above! How will you know you are on backup power? With a capacitor you only have maybe 30 seconds to land on this reserve. So, the sooner an alarm goes off to let you know to land immediately, the better. A 4 second delay could mean the difference between a controlled autorotation and a complete loss of control. You say a sudden drop does not happen. But that is exactvon cudaboy_71 - Café
Thank you for the reply. So, indeed it looks like the main battery “interval” setting is the duration the voltage must remain at or below the setpoint before triggering the alarm. This is good, because it is more useful than the other possibility. What of the RX voltage alarm? There is no user setpoint for the interval here. Only the voltage threshold. My original question was for the "interval" setting under 'edit battery'. I think part of the confusion is the word interval itself. That word is typically used for the space between things. In this case it is ambiguous because it may be used for the space between the beginning of the sample and the end of the sample. But, more often it would be used as the time between samples when novon cudaboy_71 - Café
The voltage sampling time setting is ambiguous, even in the help section information. Can someone please clarify? For example if I set it for 4 seconds, is this: A) the interval between each voltage sample taken? or the duration the sample voltage must remain below the set point before triggering the alarm? There can be arguments made for the usefulness of either. But, it is confuvon cudaboy_71 - Café

My issue is not with the broken vbar. it has already been handled via RMA (by Eddi) The issue is i have v1 NEO with the two stacked PCBs, and the top PCB with the antenna connectors has broken off, irreparably. So, obviously no way to connect to Vcontrol now. Maybe a chance with a satellite, but I'm not sure i want to jump down that rabbit hole on a pointless chase. I got everything updated. But, I see Vplane for the Vbar-mini is listed at version 1. Is this the same version of Vplane running on NEO or EVO? Or has support for newer features lapsed on the older Vbar-mini? I understand I have to use the legacy Vplane software on VControl EVO--I just want to make sure I'm not using older/inferior algorithms. If so, then I'll use newer hardware.
