Hello Eddi, I believe XDFly "telemetry" compatibility with VBar is already pretty well established. I am focusing specifically on "automatic throttle calibration". I am looking for a straight black or white (not grey) yes or no answer; Is there a need to conduct a high stick and low stick throttle calibration when pairing a VBar radio/unit with an XDFly ESC?by johnahamelv - Café

Hello Eddi, There are threads (yes, more than one thread) in the XDFly Facebook page discussing whether or not one has to conduct high stick and low stick throttle calibration when paring an XDFly ESC with a VBar Control Touch/EVO radio using a Neo/EVO unit. I want to follow up on this last point. I am used to paring YGE ESCs with my VBC EVO radio and EVO flight controllers. After installing the YGE app on the VBC EVO radio, I like how the radio recognizes the YGE ESC and automatically calibrates the throttle channel, so I do NOT have to calibrate the throttle channel using the high stick and low stick calibration steps. Is it possible to activate the internal motion sensors in the VBC Touch and/or EVO radios for telemetry call outs? Like, tilting the radio left would call out the timer, tilting the radio right can call out battery % remaining or mah consumption, and tilting the radio up can call out the head speed.by johnahamelv - Café

I would like to have a "notes" option for each helicopter. This notes menu would include pre-flight check list as well as other model notes like weight, cost, and whatever other data one finds pertinent. I have tried uploading pictures of notes, but a dedicated "notes" menu would work much better and be easier to read.by johnahamelv - VBar VLink

The 8° cyclic calibration seems pretty straight forward. I set the 8° cyclic calibration in a separate step. To recap and verify I am understanding correctly the "Cyclic Ring" parameter from both Rainer and Eddi, I first adjust the collective range to my liking. I am trying to understand the "do's and don'ts" of the Cyclic Ring parameter. I position my collective stick at about 75% position, and I verify I can move the cyclic stick around the entire perimeter of the gimbal WITHOUT any mechanical binding. Hello, When choosing a new EVO V8 setup, does the choice between "Basic setup for sport 3D flying" vs. "Basic setup for 3D pro flying" affect fundamental "background" parameters that are not accessible by us the pilots? I upgraded the EVO units from V7 to V8. I am very happy with the overall improved flight performance of V8. However, this V8 improved performance comes with the cost of giving up the bottom display where I had my telemetry values along with a few "quick access" parameters. It is my understanding that the AccuRC developers abandoned the AccuRC simulator project a while back. The list of actively supported "popular" simulators these days include Heli-X, neXt, and RealFlight. I see what the problem is. There is more than one "Archive". You are referring to the "Archive" under the "Transmitter Setup" menu. This "Archive" gives the "Battery View" menu, which presents the entire list of batteries. The only way to access this menu is to NOT be connected to the VBar unit. I do not know what you mean by "archive". When I turn on the VBC EVO radio (and not power a Neo or EVO), and I scroll down on the display, I have these options: 1. Archive 2. Pre Last Flight 3. Last Flight When I press on that "Archive" option, all I see are the logs for the individual helicopter models. I generally like to land with batteries at 3.74V/cell. I am able to customize my Jeti radios, so that I can get an announcement at 100 mah prior to 80% capacity depletion. This gives me plenty of time to take the helicopter up high for an autorotation. I generally fly my current batteries to ~3200mah capacity consumption. This means each 10% increment announcement on the VBC radio is roughlyby johnahamelv - Café

After fiddling with this some more, it turns out the real problem causing the helicopter to lean back during flight was a bad servo. I replaced all 3 cyclic servos, and now the helicopter is performing really well as expected. It is performing so well, I forgot to check vibrations levels.by johnahamelv - VBar VLink

I like how the VBC radio announces battery capacity remaining in 10% intervals. However, I have trouble estimating the last 3% to 5% capacity remaining. I would like to learn when I have only 3% or 5% battery capacity left, so I can prepare my landing routine more efficiently. Error;Extreme Vibration Level - 1 year ago
I am getting the "Error;Extreme Vibration Level" in the logs pretty much the entire flight. This is a 8S Tron Dnamic helicopter flown mostly at 1600rpm. I originally built this helicopter with a Spirit GTR unit, and it was flying fine. I replaced the Spirit GTR with a V2 EVO unit which is showing these "Error;Extreme Vibration Level" messages in the logs. I checked the mby johnahamelv - VBar VLink
