Unfortunately I was tight on time and forgot to do the test with the NEO before swapping to the new Evo. I just got back from the field, and was able to get 3 flights on the heli with no issues at all. The new Evo works perfectly. I did spin it up without blades on the bench and there was no unwanted movement from the elevator servo like with the original Evo. I was able to dial in 333/760 with mvon jakeg1999 - Café
Yes, same heli. Which screenshot would you like to see? It currently has a Neo installed, however today I am receiving an Evo I purchased from a friend. I will install it later today and try it tomorrow.von jakeg1999 - Café
RMA's have been requested through the site, and just a quick follow up. I installed my Neo in the helicopter today and flew 4 perfect flights without any issues.von jakeg1999 - Café
I tried it on 3 different models. Diabolo 700BE, Oxy 5, and a Kraken 580. I have I think 1-2 other Neo’s that had stuck sensors that I was able to unstick by pulling them out of the case but this particular one I cannot unstick so I gave up and was going to use it with Vplane someday. I prefer to use it in a helicopter though and I’m aware that another Neo may have the same issue. Thanksvon jakeg1999 - Café
I will open a ticket shortly. Is it possible to also include a Neo that has a stuck sensor? I have not been able to get it unstuck so it’s been sitting in a drawer. Normally I would be ok with it but I use “lightness” on all my Helis and was advised that I cannot use “lightness” with a stuck sensor.von jakeg1999 - Café
I just reinstalled my Neo and did the exact same test but forgot to take screenshots. I did take another 5 second video and the elevator servo does not move at all. So something is up with this Evo.von jakeg1999 - Café
I can't seem to upload the 6 second video, but it's quite obvious of the elevator servo bouncing. Additionally the rescue ball that is centered is slightly moving to the left. I reset it and it still does it, this is without the motor on.von jakeg1999 - Café
Here are some screenshots. No main blades, tail blades on and I am going to try to upload a quick video of the elevator servo bouncing.von jakeg1999 - Café
Sounds good, I will work on the vibration analysis on the workbench this weekend with the tail blades on at different headspeeds and will take some screenshots.von jakeg1999 - Café
Thanks for the reply. Just did a test flight and no change after the glue mod. Unfortunately this is my only Evo at this time. I was planning to buy a couple more as I need 2 more but honestly I’d like to figure this one out first. I can try the vibration analysis this weekend (long work week ahead), but for now my plan is to go back to the Neo. I know electronics are quirky but this heli dvon jakeg1999 - Café
Thanks for the reply. I ended up putting in hot glue, hopefully that is not a problem. I’m planning to do a test flight in a few hours. None of my other models do this (all neos, this is my only evo). The same heli flew perfect with a Neo before I replaced it with this evo. My logs I forgot to mention are the evo at hover vs the Neo in 3D flight and low headspeed. It is mounted on tvon jakeg1999 - Café
After watching a video, might be the hot glue issue. I will pull it and check it for the hot glue mod tomorrow when I get home, but according to my S/N it should already have the glue mod done. Ok, just checked by shining a light through it and it does not have any glue in it per the vstabi videos. Not sure if I should post my S/N but it's roughly 1100 units higher than the listed 27001270.von jakeg1999 - Café

Just installed my first Evo, (I have a dozen or more Neos). It's in a Strike 7.1 with Theta C1 servos. I have tried just about everything I can think of. At 2000hs & 1800hs the heli drifts, or pulls badly backwards in a hover. At 1300hs it drifts forward and to the right. It overall does not feel very locked in. I set it up originally by manually copying all the same settings from the Neovon jakeg1999 - Café
Ok, I believe I figured it out. I reinstalled Evo Express instead of Pro and that reset it, then was able to reinstall pro. Must have gotten stuck while updating.von jakeg1999 - Café
I have a brand new Evo that I just finished setting up. I updated it before I started and for some reason I updated it again after I finished the setup and now it will not connect to the radio and just blinks a white light. I can connect it to the manager and it says firmware ok. But I cannot get it to do anything other than blink white.von jakeg1999 - Café
On one of my 3 helis, when I connect my Neo, my idle 1 is completely blank, idle 2 and 3 work properly. It is only this Neo and it happened right after the latest update. My other two Neo's work fine. I can share a video.von jakeg1999 - Café

I think I’m ok, and I did not dig too deep into why, but when I go to full throttle open on the bench (Servo mechanically opens carb to Max without binding) the throttle PWM reading is 94%. So I feel confident that I’m getting full throttle.von jakeg1999 - Café
I’ll have to double check what I set my endpoints too, but I set it to open and close the carburetor all the way until the Servo was binding and then backed it off until the binding stopped. I have my idle set to “18” and throttle cut is at “0”. On the bench without the the motor running, I get full movement of the carburetor all the way open and closed.von jakeg1999 - Café
When viewing my Flightgraph's in the Cloud, my max PWM for all my nitro flights is 94%. Am I missing out on 6%? How do I get it to 100%? I feel confident in the setup and the performance is great. If I increase or decrease the head speed it doesn't change. SAB Kraken 580 Nitro and I am able to get 100% travel on the carb/throttle servo on the bench. Thank you!von jakeg1999 - Café
Rescue would be cool, flip the switch and add throttle and hope for the best! The miracle of saving a low tip stall!von jakeg1999 - VPlane/VBasic VLink
Thanks Eddi! I agree, once the group discovers the capabilities of Vbar system (probably marketing), they will be hooked. I admit that I’m a little intimidated to start learning about macrocells, and have ordered a Foam edf to do a little of such learning with. The ease of setup and trim flight is worth the investment alone. When I show people at the field how I can trim a plane in 1 pass tvon jakeg1999 - VPlane/VBasic VLink
Thanks for the Feedback Eddi, and I will shorten my replies! Just ordered a foam edf to try as well. I am so surprised more people don't fly Vplane. Most I think are hesitant to use gyros, but even without using the gyros, the programming and flexibility is above every other company! I am excited to give it another shot.von jakeg1999 - VPlane/VBasic VLink
Thanks Vinger for all your help as usual across the different forums. The video link does not work for me, but that is ok because I am now up and running. I am looking forward to setting up a new 3DHS 60" Slick with some .03sec servos that should work well with the Silverline. I am curious about a couple things. Ok, I figured it out and will put down a few notes in case I have to do it again tomorrow! -Make sure Vstabi 5.3 software is installed -Connect Legacy vbar to pc with usb and sensor if full size -Update driver needed for fullsize and mini seperately (Device manager on PC) -Download recover file, unzip, load from unzipped location with vstabi 5.3 -Download key file for specific serial numbvon jakeg1999 - VPlane/VBasic VLink
Ok, I finally figure out the mini vbar as somehow it was not yet registered to my account. Now I cannot seem to get the silverline connected at all. The software doesn't recognize the usb connection on the silverline but it did with the mini.von jakeg1999 - VPlane/VBasic VLink
