I noticed that my swashplate levels correctly when I unplug the external sensor and plug it back in while the power is on. It doesn't seem to reset correctly while it is plugged into the NEO and simply power cycled. Also where do I find the settings for the external sensor in the vbar vcontrol touch? Please help me with this.. Thanksby Jsibal - VBar VLink
Hi When I boot up my vbar Neo my swashplate tilts slightly to the left. When I enter “edit model setup” it perfectly levels out and when I exit it the swashplate tilts slightly to the left again. Please let me know why this may happen. There is 0 trim on autotrim See video here: https://youtu.be/V80INlimXHs Thanksby Jsibal - VBar VLink
Hi, Does using the aluminum case with the bar Neo make it more sensitive to vibration (does it amply the inherent vibration in a Heli and cause the logs to show higher vibration readings in comparison to using the plastic casing)? I am experiencing unusually high vibration in my fireball 280 and everything is balanced (I am using the neo with an aluminum case). There is no vibration at allby Jsibal - VBar VLink
hi, See below. Seems that the heli is suffering from extreme vibration levels (and when I used the optimizer it probably caused some further problems that led to a crash). Is there a way to find out the cause? Blades are tracking properly. Hi I need some help with settings for the Goblin Fireball on the bar control touch. When I come out of a tic hoc the Heli shudders. I tried to use the optimizer but the Heli lost control and crashed (I used rescue and after that the Heli was quite uncontrollable and crashed) 1) How do I ensure that all values are reset so when I take off again it wont behave badly? 2) What gain settingsby Jsibal - Questions VBar Control Touch
hi, The comments seem to be open to all people (it allows for country of origin to be selected). After all the world generally follows FAA regulations. It won't harm for comments to come from all over the placeby Jsibal - Questions VBar Control Touch
Hi, It would be good if you can put up a reminder to visitors to the mikadousa site to comment on this remoteID nonsense on the FAA comments link: https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2019/12/31/2019-28100/remote-identification-of-unmanned-aircraft-systems More comments from the public are desperately needed (if the FAA goes through with this it will definitely kill the hobby in the USby Jsibal - Questions VBar Control Touch
Well according to the FAA equipment that will not comply with the remote ID standard will be limited to FAA sanctioned flying sites (which will remain static after a 48 month window - no new fields can apply thereafter - during which all currently sanctioned AMA flying fields will have to comply with the FAA rules and register accordingly) So that means (if the proposed rules don't get wateredby Jsibal - Questions VBar Control Touch
Hi, I understand that this is a few years off, but Im curious to understand if current radios such as the bar vcontrol touch can be adapted (since it is wifi enabled and therefore can interface with a mobile device) to meet the proposed FAA requirements for limited remote ID operations. It seems whatever happens the hobby is going to be impacted by such rules. Thank youby Jsibal - Questions VBar Control Touch
solved..by Jsibal - Questions VBar Control Touch
Well the issue has now come back. I just got a new Vbar Control touch so it is definitely not a transmitter issue. Could it be an issue with the Neo? Here is a link to the video to better explain: https://youtu.be/rJTZJIYaveo This can tilt sometimes forwards or backwards in the same manner. It does not seem like a sensor problem. Do let me know if this behavior is normal or not. Thanksby Jsibal - Questions V5
Hi Rainer, Thanks for the reply. The master/slave cable was in reverse. Problem now corrected Jby Jsibal - Café
Hi, I am having trouble with my setup. I have configured the ESC to use the Vbar governor. When I plug the motor cables into the ESC I get a repeating long and short beep and the ESC does not arm. I am at a loss on how to resolve this. There is an error in the scorpion ESC app that says "input signal error". I do not know what to do. Thanks in advance for any help best Jaiminby Jsibal - Café
Hi I need to replace one of the connectors inside the vbar control. The correct specification is mini jst-zh 1.5mm 3 pin? Thanks for clarifying Jaiminby Jsibal - Questions V5
Hi, I’d like to use my vbar neo in vplane mode on a ParkMaster pro. As this is a profile 3D plane the neo will have to be mounted on a side orientation. Is this possible? If yes are there any specific precautions? Thanksby Jsibal - Café
Ok, so if the rpm sensor is plugged in then the headspeed will be governed. If I wish to control the headspeed purely via the curve then I will have to physically disconnect the sensor from the neo correct? There is no way to do this only through software? The reason for doing this is to make tuning easier that’s all (I need to seek other people’s help and they can’t seem to do it with aby Jsibal - Questions VBar Control
Hi, When using special throttle curves (on Macrocells) must I disconnect the rpm sensor so that the HS remains ungoverned? Thanksby Jsibal - Questions VBar Control
Nevermind. Lower numbers reduce the spool up and higher numbers increase the spool up speed. I will retest and report if the problem remainsby Jsibal - Questions V5
Hi, I would like to know which setting would help me reduce the torque effect of spoolup in a nitro heli. I have already set the ramp up time at the maximum setting. If my engine idle is low (otherwise the blades spin) the tail swings rather violently to the left despite as mentioned setting the ramp up time at the highest setting. Thanks in advanceby Jsibal - Questions V5
Hi, No there was not anything unusual in the shrink wrap. Could it just be a software bug in the vcontrol?by Jsibal - Questions VBar Control
hi, sorry for my late reply. Please see attached pictures. Also may I use electric tape to temporarily wrap up the sensor while I wait for the original heat shrinks? Thanks Jby Jsibal - Questions VBar Control
Hi Yes I did not do any soldering on the UI sensor. I used it as in from the factory and only soldered the wires into the esc and into the xt 90. Are you suggesting I desolder/resolder the work already done at the factory? Thanksby Jsibal - Questions VBar Control
Hi, It has been working perfectly for almost a year. The only change has been upgrading from a goblin 630 to 700 a few weeks ago which is simply changing the tail boom and rotor blades from 630 to 690mm. Peak current as per the vcontrol is 157 amps (you can see this in the log picture which I had attached. On the flight that report d the error the peak amp draw was only 74 amps) which is on avby Jsibal - Questions VBar Control
hi, sorry for my late response! I simply made a new model and the error went away. Heli behaves perfectly normally now...more than 10 flights.by Jsibal - Questions V5
hi, I got a sudden warning that I had consumed 100% of my battery within 2 minutes of flight. I immediately landed the Heli and the battery logbook showed that I had consumed 11000 mah (my battery is only 4000 mah). I flew 2 more flights without this occurring again. Just to be on the safe side I'd like to know what may have caused this error even though it just seems random. See attached pictby Jsibal - Questions VBar Control
Hi, I have had a teething issue with my vbar neo (i am also using the external sensor). The heli has a tendency in a hover to either pitch up or down constantly in the elevator axis. If I leave the sticks the heli will either pitch forward or backward. This behavior remains constant per flight i.e. it will either pitch aft or pitch forward - it won’t be random, never on the aileron axis. Itby Jsibal - Questions V5
Hi, Im trying to use the bar temperature sensor on a nitro airplane engine (in this case a YS 1.15), however the fins on the engine (anywhere) are too narrow to allow for the sensor to be seated between them (see attached picture). Please suggest how best I could mount the sensor in this situation? Thanksby Jsibal - Questions V5
It seems that the polarity is wrong...I had installed the magnet for another governor which is a different polarity for the one Im trying to use....by Jsibal - Questions V5
Hi, Just want to check, how to tell if the governor is detecting the magnet before flying a nitro Heli? I’m using vcontrol and when I use the the starter on a unfueled Heli the governor rpm reads 0, so I wish to doublecheck if I am missing something Thanksby Jsibal - Questions V5
Thanks for the info. Sorted out the linkages. However there is another issue. I'm using this on a nitro plane. The CG is balanced against a empty fuel tank therefore naturally it will be nose heavy during most of a flight. Therefore it needs constant correction to maintain level flight as there are no trims on the radio (Autotrim does not correct for this). How to solve this issue? Thanksby Jsibal - Café
