Not surprised. I bought 3x JR MP82S and they had this problem and they were resetting themselves on movement. MKS HBL 950 (i have now) have very different curves on the scope. Nice measurement, i did not know someone from your team done that, great. So with the wrong servos, it could happen. I did not know it can be so bad, thanks.by jointer - Questions V5
Basically the only thing which can produce spikes over the set voltage (8V) are servos when recuperating energy back, some do it. This is visible only with oscilloscope, but it is only very small spike. Drops in load are occuring much more and are easily 0,5-1V down (depending on many things). But this is all too fast to be logged by Vbar.by jointer - Questions V5
I run grayline fullsize with original Mikado BT module at 8,4V (Gryphon Quasar) and no problems. The BT module can have influence on the signal from transmitter, because it is the same band. And it is Class 1 BT, which means it can have up to 100mW of power, the same like your radio... I do fly with it permanently attached and connected and get about 4 switches per flight (sometimes nothing, sby jointer - Questions V5
Marcos, look at the JLog section on HF, i was reading there something from Tom, about Futaba SBUS2 issue with impedance of the SBUS output. It is shot in the dark, but you might look at this.by jointer - Questions V5
Yeah, i guess i demand too much with the low RPM, at high, it is working very well. You can look at video from the tuning. Yes, i need to lower the tail gain a bit... part of the tuning. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4fTaGcCnt0by jointer - Questions V5
And do you know if the RPM change between banks is slow when i use internal curve? (but i think on Logo, you do not use as wide RPM range as on TDR 1350-2000 so you might not notice that problem) Why are you not resetting the settings? Do you know why i am feeling much more difference with the Electric and Expert mode? For the Expert mode, i did choose Throttle curve only, tuned the V curby jointer - Questions V5
I reprogrammed the YGE about 20 times, trying all possible combinations of many settings. After last calibration, my throttle range in Vbar is -108 (motor start without delay) to +112 (LED on ESC off). Calibrated through Vbar by Collective control... My PWM is 10kHz, because it seems to work best, but i will try 12kHz to see if this is not the reason for the RPM "spikes/noise" in theby jointer - Questions V5
Damn! I looked into the Logo tail oscillation thread, opened RV setup file and found you use Expert Gov, where you can change PID gains directly. This i did not know and that could help me tuning the governor much better...! Edit: RV, the % Minimum Gov value is value sent from the Vbar to ESC or somehow related to throttle percentage sent from Tx to Vbar? Because to hold the RPM, the valuesby jointer - Questions V5
RV, i am trying to get help also on Helifreak, this is what i posted there. So sorry, i forgot to save the setup file, but i promise i will do it tomorrow! What is strange is that "oscillation noise" and i would like to know (if you know) how high i should be able to raise the gain. The info: I can tell on non-store internal gov i have around 160A peaks when i pull, where on Vbarby jointer - Questions V5
Hello Rainer. The whole thread i was replying to is missing? http://www.vstabi.info/forum/read.php?26,68662 Strange. Anyway, the problem was visible (i could feel it and hear it) also in flight last year. From the thread i was replying to and from Heino answers, it seems the spool up must be done to 75% throttle, then it might work fine? That means i must start at highest RPM bank. I amby jointer - Questions V5
Hello to everyone, i googled this thread when searching for help and i see some well known people. I sent my 160HV to YGE last year, to have it upgraded to 16S and to "fix spoolup kick". What Heino probably done is he upgraded the SW to XXTreme version, because he wrote the maximum 2pole RPM is now halved. I had poor governor performance on low RPM before, and i think this issue iby jointer - Questions V5
Damn JR. Not an option for me then. It seems i will need to wait for Jeti. Can do almost all i want.by jointer - Questions V5
I think this is very odd. They say it is "satellite receiver" not telemetry transmitter... I will trust you for now, MrMel, but i do not quite believe it until i will not try myself (which will probably not happen soon, because i do not have DMSS radio and based on what you wrote, i will not buy one). You looked with oscilloscope, right?by jointer - Questions V5
First of all, we need someone who will "decode" the protocol used there and identify the signals on that 4 cables. (like hapened with Spektrum protocol) I personally think one wire will be telemetry uplink from main receiver to the satelite, so it could be possible to plug only 3 of 4 wires into the Vbar to have it working. Unfortunatelly, i have no DMSS radio to do some basic testingby jointer - Questions V5
Jeti seems not to be interested much in using their stuff in helicopters. You can try it, but i recommend using some already tested ESC. They are busy developing the new radio.by jointer - Questions V5
For some reason, i do feel difference on the TDR. Somehow more smooth and in better contact with the heli. I cannot describe it better, it is just a feeling it is better then before.by jointer - Questions V5
Are there any changes in cyclic control over 5.1 (do not know subversion, the one with FFT fix but before DSMX fix)? Because my TDR feels a bit better in general and it seems i have less bounce on elevator at low RPM then before? Could be only my feeling, because i was not flying for about 14 days. I cannot judge the tail change, because i do not fly complex stuff yet, but i do feel some changby jointer - Questions V5
Glad to help. I use expo in radio, but i wonder how could be the feel if i try to set it in Vbar...? Maybe i should try some day.by jointer - Questions V5
Uli, you learned that how? I expect the 4 lines to be gnd, power, serial line with channels and telemetry serial line. But i do not know of course - i know person in Slovakia which want to look deeper into it and also make special telemetry modules for it, but he did not found time yet to do it. But i think both Spektrum and Jeti protocols were well analyzed by some German users, so maybe someby jointer - Questions V5
Vinger, you should use classic receiver with Spektrum radios too. The ability to use DSM2/X satellite receiver with Vbar is just clever use of the sats and i think it is not what Spektrum had in mind when they developed it. Futaba went that way with SBUS. So, i think it is possible to use DMSS the same way, someone only need to "crack" the protocol, as it happened with Spektrum aby jointer - Questions V5
Also the precompensation direction could be reversed, so it does not work against torgue, but with it. Happened before, here somewhere is thread about it. Just check if the tail is moving against torgue if you go from 0 pitch to max negative or positive.by jointer - Questions V5
It is difficult with precomp. For hard moves, you need higher numbers, but it seems it have some not ideal influence if you fly light. I prefer to have it working better in hard moves, because in slow flying, the bad behaviour is better controllable. For example, when i am gently doing many static flips (7-10), the tail have a tendency to move against the torque (low RPM), which should be causby jointer - Questions V5
I must have tail deadband in Vbar around 10, else the TDR slowly drift, probably a centering issue on my old DX7. And, my precomp numbers are about 40/12 on low RPM - just to have an idea what numbers can work in real life.by jointer - Questions V5
From what i know, other tail-only gyro systems behave better then Vbar. So i do not know, maybe tail behaviour is not a priority for Mikado. I tried to set Normal mode and tune the tail mechanically and also experimented with precompensation. Problem is, hover is just one point in the flight, for gentle flying, low precomp is better, for harder flying, more precomp will help. If i do both,by jointer - Questions V5
So it is lost frame? Standart Spektrum receiver can log that. I had 2-3 per flight, after rebuild after crash, i get 5-7 per flight. I know it is not critical, but i placed the sats outside frame, which should make the signal better and it seems to be worse.by jointer - Questions V5
I am another one considering XG8 as next radio... waiting for sat support (i will not go back to standalone receiver + sat).by jointer - Questions V5
Hello. I am not sure if this was not explained already somewhere: With 2 DSM2 sattelites, when Vbar logs Antenna Switched, does it mean the signal from one sattelite was completly lost? Or the Vbar analyze the Spektrum output and switch to other receiver if the signal is low? Thanks.by jointer - Questions V5
I would say elevator, but it is hard to say, because on aileron, it is not much visible. Old dampers with lube and shims. Could be it, or the arm/servo (BLS451). Or both together. Anyway it is flying properly in general, thanks to Cyclic setting it is nicer for control in 3D, so i do not care much. (as i given up on the tail bounce). Hopefully, my 2nd TDR will be better, but no time yet tby jointer - Questions V5
HC, what plastic vs metal difference you mean? In the head? The head hub, the new one have bearing and the old does not? BTW i am not happy with the bounce, i used old head o-rings when rebuilding, because i did not seen any wear on them. It is noticeable on the elevator, but as i wrote, i thought it might be the "aggressive" settings, but it seems it is not, because when i lowerby jointer - Questions V5
