Hi, I bought a used mini vbar pro to use on my Compass Atom. I noticed uneven flip and roll rates. Flip rate was much higher than the roll rate. Did the swash optimizer flights but it didn't fix it. Manually changing the Elevator control loop parameter didn't seem to fix it either. I thought it was something to do with the Atom and worked around it by reducing the Elevator endpoints in the radby stark - Questions V5
Rainer, I followed your governor static throttle tuning steps but it didn't help with the issue. So problem is elsewhere. I replaced the YGE90LVv3 and the Standard Vbar with a YGE90LVv2 and mini-vbar-V5pro from my Atom but the exact issue was still there. This time using just Electric governor option with not static throttle tuning. Looks like mini-vbar has no option to do static throttle fby stark - Questions V5
I can see the V curve in main panel only if I choose "Internal" for throttle input channel. There is no collective add field in Governor parameters window. If I select some receiver channel for throttle input then I don't see the V curve and no collective add option either. In this case how do I dial in basic throttle and collective add? Should I be doing this in the radio's throttleby stark - Questions V5
"Go in a medium climb and dial in the collective ad unless it sounds not overspeeding or slowing down. " How do I do this? Please note that I'm on v5.x pro. Is the below procedure correct? - In governor tab 1, I select "Banked Expert" and type "on, fixed headspeed" - In Throttle input channel from receiver I select "internal" - For Preset channel frby stark - Questions V5
With RPM sensor cable removed I was getting quite low Rotor RPM. The motor noise was not there though. But this doesn't prove anything. I changed to 15T pinion and internal governor mode 2. I don't see the problem there but the governor gain is not high enough. I don't have YGE progcard to make changes there. Anyway my target is to get VBAR governor perfect. Another theory could be that at 2100+ Tail is causing problems. If I remove RPM cable as you suggested, what RPM will the rotor run at fully charged pack?by stark - Questions V5
I didn't yet try with RPM cable removed but I tried the following things on stock 14T pinion. 1) Switched to Castle ICE ESC with internal governor @ 2000RPM. Very smooth motor sound and no tail wag. 2) Switched to YGE90LV with internal governor (mode 2). I don't know the exact RPM but it was probably less than 2000. Also smooth motor sound and no tail wag. 3) Switched back to VBAR governor wby stark - Questions V5
Hi, This is a brand new Logo 550sx build with following components Stock Scorpion motor YGE90LV v3 Mikado edition ESC Savox servos for swash(1257TG) and tail (1290MG). Silverline Vbar unit. I'm running the Vbar governor mode. You can see in the following video that the motor is making some fluctuation sounds as if it is intermittently loosing power and then catching up. OK. It's been a while but i've not been idle. I've been chasing my tail the whole time. So, tried a brand new tail servo Savox 1290MG. No improvement. Put on a new tail belt and kept it tighter than before. Still no luck. I decided to observe the heli more closely as to what was happening. During pitch pumps, in negative to positive collective transitions with heli upright, not only the tby stark - Questions V5
Tried with governor disabled today. I didn't want to change wiring so I used the "Expert governor" "throttle only" with throttle curve in TX. I had set tail collective & cyclic precomp to 0. Headspeed was also around 2600~2700. With a V throttle curve I can still see the wag during disc unload/load just like in governor mode. If I use a flat throttle curve then it isby stark - Questions V5
OK. Since I'm using standard RX hookup, I cannot provide "Throttle" channel to the VBAR. Only "Preset" channel via AUX port. This limits me so that I can't use throttle curve from transmitter in Electric governor mode when preset channel is less than 50%. Or did I miss something? I think only available option is to use "Expert governor", Select "throttlecuby stark - Questions V5
Quote:Disable gov - easy - just select "external gov" and set up from TX ;-) I couldn't find "external gov" anywhere in Vstabi setup utility. Note that I'm using "separate channels, standard RX hookup". Or did you mean in Electric Governor, use -100 to 0 in AUX channel in transmitter to keep gov off?by stark - Questions V5
Reducing the collective torque precomp didn't help. Instead, I tried increasing the collective torque precomp to 40 and reducing common gain to 60 and I gain to 50. It got a lot better with this but still not perfect. I'm not sure if the governor mode is causing this or something wrong with heli setup. To figure this out it would be nice to verify with governor mode disabled. Is it possibby stark - Questions V5
I wasn't sure so I went to the field again to check. This time I flew with -3 collective zero and gov. gain of 15. The twitching was still there. It looks like a fast oscillation (2 Hz) with a small amplitude. The heli seems to move in both directions CW and CCW about 2 times before settling in. It is hard to tell which way it moves first but looks like it is CW first.by stark - Questions V5
Hello Rainer, Thanks for the quick response. I got a value of -3 for zero collective position. regards, Roger.by stark - Questions V5
Hi, This is my setup: - Atom 500 with stock motor (1050Kv). 10T pinion, 78T Main gear. - Silverline VBAR 5.3.4 pro - Align DS510M cyclic - Hyperion DS20xGCD tail - YGE 90 LV v3 (Mikado version). Set for vbar governor mode. - Hitec Aurora 9 radio with Optima 6 receiver. - RPM set to 2650. Hi, I just ordered the yge 90 lv mikado version (#04731). How do I know without opening the package whether the ESC supports transmitter stick programming into vbar governor mode? Label on the ESC says V3 on it. Please see the attached picture. Is this the latest version? Thanks. regards, Roger.by stark - Setups
Thanks Rainer. I will discuss with the seller as to what he wants to do about it. regards, Roger.by stark - Questions V5

Hi Eddi, I tried your suggestions. To rule out the BEC i'm using 4cell NiMH pack 2400mAh to Vbar. I've connected only Pitch channel of receiver to Colle/ESC of Vbar. Please refer to the attached vbar_log3 in parallel from page 3 onwards for the below sequence of events. 0) Vbar connected to PC via USB. Hi Rainer, Appreciate your quick support . I disconnected all servos and tried and still get the same "below 3.5V" error every second. regards, Roger.by stark - Questions V5
Hi, I bought a used Silverline Vbar version 5.3.4 pro (sat enabled). I'm using a standard receiver and completed the heli setup but in the Event log I see "supply voltage dropped below 3.5V" every second after the vbar initializes. NOTE: If I prevent the vbar from initializing e.g. by unplugging receiver power then I see good health message every 10 seconds after the vbar init failuby stark - Questions V5
