some facts:
Due design we use 8 bit values including presign for paramneters. So the gear ratio is max. 12.7 which can be set.
The pole pair count is a number how much pulses a motor will need for one turn. At RPM we will get this raw pulses always. So - the pole pair count is also a divider here.
At the end, the given RPM pulses are divided through both - pole pair count and gear ratio to get the headspeed ;-)
So - having a gear ratio more than 12.7 - and knowing the things above - just dial in half gear ratio and double the pole pair count value ;-)
For example:
Gear 20:1
Pole Pairs: 5
Use Gear 10 and Pole Pairs 10.
