Tdf linear servo settings?

Hi i setup tdr2 with xpert r1 servos
The collective and cyclic values are between 80-100 which is great

The tdf I setup with futaba servos (and yes geometry correction is off) and collective im around 80 but cyclic at 60!

I know it can be changed on futaba programmer the travel but would this only change the number?
Isnt it mechanical issue?
Should i change it or leave it?

Hi,

question is, for what angles are the Futaba servos geared?

Changing it with the programmer will indeed only change numbers, so if it's at 100 % of travel (80-60 in the VBar) and you set it to 80 (for 100-80 in the VBar), nothing in the equation of precision, resolution, torque, speed, etc. has changed, just the values in the VBar look better.

I'm not familiar what values you can expect, on a TDF, with 'standard' servos (I'd assume +/– 45° would be pretty much standard ...).

Kind regards

Thanks just as suspected

So i guess just fly it correct?? Just seems strange henseleit would design the heli in this way??

Hi,

I think current digital servos can handle very much, so it's no big deal.

And there's always the way you look at it, if you want a sleek design, short shafts, everything close to the center of gravity, you might sacrifice larger servo travels for it, or swash plate angles.

I'd say, just fly the machine smiling smiley
