A few questions regarding VBCT upgrade
February 02, 2026 07:18AM
Hello, I recently upgraded from a regular touch to a Evo+. I read through some of the FAQ and howtos to transfer my flights, batteries, setups etc. I’m still having a few issues to work through and it’d be great if anyone has some input!

1 - I loaded the Talking Switches app online and updated the Evo+, but no matter what I do it will not show up in any model. The switches do actually announce, but I swear there was a menu option before for adjusting settings. Is this just a Pro feature? Which leads me to my next question…

2 - I see that the Pro apps are per device, but is there any way to transfer them from an older radio to a new one? I plan to sell the old one, so having the Pro apps on that device is no longer useful to me.

3 - This one is not VBCT related, but while I was going through my models I noticed my Logo 200 shows up in the VBCT Cloud (flights, model info, etc) but not on Administration > My Devices. Any reason for this?

Otherwise loving the Evo+, the startup and menus are noticeably faster and the gimbals feel amazing. Thanks!

Hi,

1–Talking Switches (not VBar Control Pro+Value Pack Talking Switches Pro) has no menu entry, it just works, for motor, bank, buddy, rescue etc.
Pro has a menu entry, else it wouldn't be configurable smiling smiley

2–Right. You buy an update for a serial no., for a device, and for its lifetime. So basically, if you sell it now, you sell it with Pro (worth some extra) and buy Pro again. Same as with VBar flybarless updates. In general, they only get transferred if a unit is broken and replaced, so the license is not lost.

3–it's probably not registered yet. A VBar Control will still log data, and push them out to it's Cloud, but it will not automatically register a foreign unit, that will remain on it's owner's account (or yet not registered). Go Transmitter Settings, VBar NEO/EVO Updater, (Check Update), then register through the QR code using a mobile device already logged in to vstabi.info
Or you are using different accounts, and the transmitter is registered to a different account than other units?

Happy to hear smiling smiley

Hi Eddi,

Thanks for the quick response! Noted on talking switches, as well as Pro version, makes sense. Just a clarification; if I wipe the old radio (following the steps in the FAQ), the license for the Pro apps will still stay for next user correct?

Good detective work on the Logo 200 question as well, turned out it was never registered. I generally connect my NEOs via USB to update and register first, and I think since the NEO Mini does not have a typical USB port I never did it. Using the QR code, now it's registered to me, 4 years after I first purchased it smiling smiley

Cheers!

Hi Chris,

very good smiling smiley

With the Pro Apps, there's a little snag: iirc if you use the Welcome App to reset the transmitter, they will be disabled again (only basic apps, then, like a factory reset).
It could be necessary to re-enable them via vstabi.info, or if in doubt, contact us and we help with it.
Since the purchase is logged with the serial no., there's always proof that Pro was purchased, so it's also available for the next user, or the one thereafter.
Just let him know that if he encounters any issues, he can always contact us, and get help asap.

Best,
