active idle

Sorry making a new post out of this as it is a separate issue:

Also another issue I am facing is that active idle doesn’t seem to be working anymore.

When I connect the power to the model the radio doesn’t turn on. I can confirm that the radio is not fully off as the red light is visible behind the radio and battery is fully charged.

This is the vbar control touch with new multi region module set to dynamic.

Can confirm that changing from dynamic to EU doesnt seem to fix the issue.

how fdar away is the radio when turning on the model?

Sometimes when too close - it depends also on the TX orientation and environment. Having 1m distance it should work.

Hi,

Have tried very close (next to model) and then about 2 arm lengths away, and now tried at an even longer distance - about 2 meters.

The issue happened outside on the field (radio was close to 1 model - vbar EVO), and I have tried at home with another model (vbar NEO).


To clarify I have never faced this issue before at any distance and any location or orientation with any of my models.

Hi Rainer,

Just to summarise everything in one place:
• Radio: VBar Control Touch (non-EVO) with the new multi-region module, RF mode set to Dynamic (also tested on EU – no change).
• Active Idle is ON in the Idle Mode menu.
• When “off”, the radio is definitely in Standby (two-finger touch shows the battery popup).
• Battery is fully charged.
• I have tried powering models at different distances:
• very close (right next to the model),
• about 1–1.5 m (two arm lengths),
• and around 2 m away.
• Tested with two different models:
• one with VBar EVO,
• one with VBar NEO.
• In all cases, the radio no longer auto-powers on when I plug in the flight pack.
• If I manually power on the transmitter first, it connects to both models and works normally.
• I have also connected it to VBar Control Manager on the PC and it passes file consistency check without errors.

Important: this feature used to work flawlessly on the same radio and models at all normal distances and locations; the behaviour has changed only recently.

Btw just in case when I went to my devices yesterday there was an indicator that an update was available for my vbc touch.

If this is the one it didn’t help. Just tested again this morning and the issue remains.
