AG01, Faulty stick signal detected during self-test
September 04, 2024 07:31AM
Hi Guys,

I have the "Faulty stick signal detected during self-test" message at startup with the AG01 perfectly calibrated.

A few months ago an update had solved the problem, but currently despite all the updates being done the starting of the heli engine remains blocked.

Is there a solution or should I go back to the original sicks?

Thanks for your answer.

Hi,

what happens here is, the power-on and ongoing self tests and monitoring have found inconsistencies with the stick input signal.
This is to ensure that no insidious fault eventually leads to erratic control, loss of control, with unpredictable results.
In such a case, we have to recall transmitter for a check-up.
This is for your own safety as well as for ours as the manufacturer, it’s our responsibility.

On a side note, only yesterday I replaced the (original) aileron potentiometer assembly on a customer's radio, which was still looking good in calibration, but which was already showing electrical inconsistencies.

But ... if aftermarket components were used, we can do another thing first: we can enable a one-time Applet for you, which, after an update, will automatically delete this particular error flag.
If the message doesn’t come up again, then, all well (again).
If, and no matter the circumstances, there’s something else wrong, and we’d still have to recall this transmitter for a check-up.

Could it be that you already also sent an e-mail about it?

Kind regards

Eddi

Hi Eddi,

Thank you very much for offering me a solution!
I already sent an e-mail yesterday to service@mikado-heli.de about this problem, with the serial number of my transmitter, is this enough ?

Best regards

David
