Experiencing a sudden error message....??

Hi Guys,

Posting for a friend who's experienced with his VBCT. While at the field and after performing a routine flight. While preparing for his second flight then powering on his receiver. His screen goes black for a bit then posts an error message stating that his Vbar basic software needs to be installed, preventing him from proceeding. He's already operating on Pro. What could be the problem here?

Hello Raz,

did this come up again at the 3rd flight?

He has the autoinstaller active which tells the pilot when he needs to install a app for a item/function found in the model. Obviously the check routine did not find the VBar Basic app at this powerup, so the screen was blank and the installation request came up.

So - in general this shoudn't happen - but hard to say what might be a reason here. Could this be repeated or not? - If yes we might be able to track it down.

The error message grounded his ability to fly again. He also tried his Logo 200, same problem. Meaning, the transmitter powers up fine. The screen goes black and then displays the error message which allows you to close out but the model never syncs up.

Yes, it can be repeated again and again.

Okay - lets reload all his apps by a trick:

- Let him toggle to German, wait unless all finished
- try in German
- then toggle back and re-check
