Hi,
about all the information there is about these (sorry ...) outdated ESCs can be found here:
https://www.vstabi.info/en/cc
In general what you did so far is correct, though, control wire in ESC, rpm signal wire in RPM (on signal pin).
There's no telemetry but r/c voltage (from the EVO) and RPM (from the ESC).
You could add a current-voltage sensor of ours, though, to get that data, too, and to be able to fly by remaining capacity, no by timer.
Well-meant advice: leave that ESC to someone who can still use it as it is, on a plane, or with a different radio system, where you don't miss much anyway, including the ease of setup and programming, and get an ESC with full integration (YGE T series, Scorpion Tribunus and later, HW v4 and later, a current OMP, with more to come). If you are into buying second hand, check first, buy later, so you don't get yourself one with limitations—again.
I know for sure it works with VBar Control and VBar NEO in this case (makes me assume, EVO, too), since I have a 160 A myself, on a scale ship.
That was added like 12-14 years ago (to the model), when there was no VBar Control yet.
And it has been carried along ever-since, first with VBar Silverline and VLink receiver satellite (at the time of the links above), then to VBar NEO with Extender.
Kind regards
Eddi
