motor mount height?
September 25, 2016 12:23AM
I have my 4525-520 waiting for my kit. In the meantime I see that the 55mm 6mm shaft is required. However, on my motor now is a 50mm shaft (measured from the top of the can to the end of the shaft).

I have seen another build photo that shows a good bit of the shaft coming through the bearing and past the mount. Unfortunately, I don't know the motor or the shaft. I have asked the builder, but is unresponsive (so far).

Attached is a photo of the other builder's motor and mount so you can see what I'm questioning. Can someone give me the measurements indicated?

The Engine is a 4035, delivered some years ago by Hobbyking. The original shaftlenght was 36 or 38 mm.
So if that motormount in your picture is from an LOGO 700 (I don´t own one), it cant´t be a original shaft.

When Mikado says, that you need a 55 mm shaft, I would presume, that 50 mm is too short.

How comes it, that your 4525 has a 50 mm shaft?

PS: Found this picture: Picture in the thread: 4035
