aluminum NEO case for V2 only?

My NEO's plastic case has seen better days. I was going to replace it, and found the aluminum replacement case. But, it says V2 only.

How do I tell if I have V2?

If one of the admins can look on my account it’s the unit ending in **69

I have been able to research a few other threads and learned that v2 started around the 2007500 serial number. So, mine is almost definitely v1 as I am several thousands below this.

However, the reason stated the aluminum case is v2 only is because the v1 had two boards. But, my unit is NOT vlink. So, even though it is V1, it only has one board (I use vcontrol sat with this NEO)

So, the question remains: can I use the mikado aluminum NEO case on this unit?

Hi,

I'm afraid not. The design of the board has changed, the layout of the electronic elements thereon and the thickness of the board itself.

So with V1, you have to stick with the plastic cases. But if you would want a different color than blue, you could shoot me an e-mail to service (at) mikado-heli (dot) de and I could offer white or neon yellow instead.
