Neo: Trimflight, log and setup (non-german computer)

New to neo...
I put a neo in a 450 last friday night to test on saturday.
My radio is a Taranis with a Orange DSM-module and the receiver
is a 3-channel Orange with s-bus. Install and config was as straightforward
as earlier vbars, once registration, keys, upgrades and non-german operating
system issues was passed. The neo fly well and rescue worked as expected.

How do I do trim flight?
When I put pitch on max before I connect battery on heli I am used to getting
two swash "dips" indicating that the gyro is ready for a trim flight. On neo I
don't get that, I just get the normal one "dip". Is there another way to activate
trimflight with neo, to be used when the radio is not a VBC?

I can not save the log to a file
I can get the log displayed on the screen. When I try to save the log to a pdf-
file, a file is created, but with zero length and no content. I have tryed to mark/
highlight the log entries before I save the log, but the file is still empty. I assume
this is a bug an hope a fix is coming up soon…

Setup on non-german Mac OS and Windows
It took me a while to figure out that setup could not be done with non-german
operating systems. Once I found the workarounds, with start string in Windows
and plist file change on Mac that was OK. Hopefully this is fixed in future versions.
It took me a while to figure out and I wish for others to not have to face that.

it must work as on V5 - please re-check the collective percentages in TX tab.

Who said to add .pdf? - no one ... it is just a simple text file - open with a text editor. For easier handle - add .txt

In my initial setup, the values went from -100 to +100, as I am used to from Vstabi.
These are the values I see in Vbar Neo 6.1 in the Mac whith Neo up and connected.
I have tried to go a little higher and a little lower, but still I get no "double-dip" when
I power up Neo with full pitch on radio.
I have had reports from others with Neo without VBC that they have the same problem
- not being able to get a trimflight with a Neo. It sound like a bug to me.
Does it really work as it should?
Being able to do a trim flight is a quite central issue, IMO…
I have tried on two different Neos, on two different helis, with different setup in radio.
The setup have in common that all channels are calibrated to go from -100 to 100 and
to give zero in Neo at mid stick, according to Vbar Neo 6.1 in Mac.

The format of the downloaded log is not essential to me. I can deal with any format,
if I only can download the log. The problem is that I get a zero length file on the Mac
after download. I have log entries in the Neo – That I can see from Vbar Neo 6.1 in
Mac. But the file have zero length, after download.

The issues with setup flight and log download that I have really appears to be bugs.
Please take my questions and issues serious! I am not a heli or a computer moron,
and I wish to not give up Neo - yet!

I have these experiences on two different Neos on two different helis, one 450 and
one 700, so I believe that it is unlikely that these are hardware issues.

My two Neos are both pro with resque.

I have been looking frequently for new versions of both the Vbar Neo 6.1
application, as well as the firmware for the neo itself.
It is nowhere near obvious what versions are available and if it is the same
as I have or newer.
Even if the current version was named the same way as the one I had I
did download the current versions for both firmware and app.
For the firmware it said "upgrade not neccesary". For the app there where
some size difference, and also a difference in last change date. I had
2015-08-14 before as "last changed" and now I have 2015-08-25.
After getting new keys and getting them in place, now I can download the log!
As soon as I get a chance I will see if trimflight works too, but it is something
I definitely expect to be handled by the gyro and not by the Mac app.
I am happy that the the log feature now works, but I wish you were clear
when you release bug fixes and what bugs are fixed. Please also name
versions so we (customers) know what we have versus what is available.
