Want to use a NEO VLink in a fixed wing aerobatic competition aircraft

I am thinking of using a NEO Vlink with a VC Touch TX in an aerobatic pattern aircraft for competition.

In AMA style pattern competition, as well as F3A competition, gyros are strictly
forbidden.

So, to enter a contest, one would have to disable the gyros.....and probably
demonstrate to the contest officials that the gyros were disabled.

How would disabling the gyros be accomplished?

Just use a VBasic, the gyros are not available although all the functions for Vplane are.

VControl, VBar on all.
TDR, TDR2, TDF, TDS and TDSF

I've been saying that for a long time ... if officials knew that VBasic and/or a certain firmware number do not have Gyros enabled (and we can vouch for that), you would only have to show the Model Status Screen, with the model bound, upon scrutinizing.

The ATC or judges could check directly before or after a competition flight, with a glance at the display, to confirm the rules are adhered to.

That way, you could even hardly update right before a flight and downgrade right thereafter, with a Touch and a personal hotspot.
If the display doesn't say VBasic if checked at any time during the event, DQ.

There's always room for cheating, I mean, look at motor sports, but if the officials 'knew their sh*t' there should be nothing against it.

A win by cheating is not a win...lol

The VBasic is the way to go in this area, I gather.
I intend to implement this, using an AJ 2M Acuity aircraft.

I am a lot better at fixed wing aerobatics, than I will ever be at heli aerobatics.
