What sort of vibration protection is advised for mounting VBar in a plane with a gas engine? Is the double sided thin tape normally supplied sufficient or would you advise a thicker variety?
I'd go with the regular tape. Since the VBar is mounted in the fuselage, usually, and not on the motor mount or a comparatively stiff assembly with the motor in it (as in: on the mechanics, on a helicopter), imo it's decoupled sufficiently.
Make sure you have a bank with no stabilization to switch to, in case the sensors would get affected anyway.
