Jet Retracts Delay

Hi RV

Attached are setup and macrocells from an Avanti Jet I helped a friend to do the setup. Performs perfectly, only problem is the GEAR and DOOR setup. It needs at least 9-10sec of delay as these are electric retracts and move slowly in and out. The retract side is all OK with wheel in and door closing as it is currently set. Full delay of 9 seconds.

As the delay is not required on lowering the gear and as set at the moment it takes longer than 9 seconds for gear to lower and this can be a problem during an emergency landing. Option Switch 3 is used

Any suggestions on how to enable the delay only on retract side and not on extension. Tried a few solutions myself but not successful.

Hello,

being lack of time i can't dinve too deep into this. But AFAIK - there is no general way for this to do.

Anyway - one soulution would be:

- use a switch as 3- level, set -100/100/100 (Gear up / down slow / down fast)
- assign a channel cell to each switch output (one for Gear slow, one for Gear fast), set delay here
- then use a multiplexer cell - driven by switch above - it should take the result from channels above in the regarding positions
- the result of the multiplexer above should give you the needed reacion

In case of normal landing toggle just to center - delay is there. If toggling to the end at emergency - it will move faster (as set up) out and also in when toggling back.

One thing ... there might be a error inside ...

i would (slept a night over it ...) do it now this way:

- assign switch to 3-level 100/-100/100 (down slow/up/down fast)
- assign 2 channels as said for seperate delay
- use a mixer cell to get both together
- use a channel cell aferwards to limit the output to 100% if both are added when pilot toggles forth and back ...

So - please use a "bench NEO" and a servo first to test ;-)
