ESC End Points

Ulrich,
I have a Scorpion ESC that wants the control system to be powered up while the throttle channel is at full throttle to enter ESC end point calibration mode. This is not possible right now with V-Control. I have no way to calibrate the throttle end points in the ESC since it has a built in BEC as the vbar powers up the same time the ESC does.

I believe I can work around this by removing the red wire from the ESC to stop the BEC from powering the VBAR and separately power the VBAR and let the TX and RX connect and finish boot process and then move throttle stick to wide open and then power the ESC up.

Is there any chance in the future firmware releases to put in a ESC calibration function so such great lengths do not have to be gone through?

I did something similar to pair my Jive Pro to it's Bluetooth module. Pairing requires powering up with full throttle, so I used a separate 4.8V NiMh pack to initialize Vbar first. Then in VControl I used the Jive setup wizard to simulate full throttle before powering up the ESC.

Kosmiks are much easier to do because you can press the setup button any time.

I agree it would be nice to have an app to make this more intuitive for Jive Pro and Scorpion
