Battery ID sensor.

Hi.
I have a Logo 480 that I just put a Neo on. I also have the V Control. Setup is done. Trimming the servos threw me off for a bit but I think I have that part. My question i s about the battery id sensor. Would it be ok to mount it on the bottom of the esc mount?
Thanks

Hi,

that's where I would put it. Just make sure you have a little distance to the carbon plate (use thicker double sided adhesive or two layers) so the carbon does not take away too much of the radio power of the reader. Mounting too close to carbon or metal surfaces can reduce the useful range significantly. But I'm talking a few mm more or less, so it should work well there.

Kind regards

If that area is close enough to read the ID tag.

That seemed to be the biggest issue I found when trying to place the reader.

Why not just unterneath the battery tray? This is all plastic, so you have full range. This works very well on my 480 and it almost disappears there.

Hi again,

it's close enough, if the reader can send/receive properly. If the reader is too close to carbon or metal the range is reduced, maybe that was the issue?

Kind regards

I did find that the range is a lot less with it mounted on the bottom of the esc tray. I was able to get it work. So far I am very happy with the set up. Just need to fine tune it some.
