XLpower nimbuss 550 new motor

Hi, i changed my nimbus 550 motor
Old one is scorpion 4025-1100 kv.
New one is eguodrift 4030-1050 kv

Should i use stock pinion (11t) or change to (12t) .


Gear is 106.

Bank 1 1600, bank 2 1900, bank 3 is 2200

I might use same speed for bank 3 or slight higher.

I like it on low rpm at the moment

Changed the motor for more torque to handle my sudden stops and load.

Any thoughts .

And ho much cells does it run? How many teeth does the main gear have?

Hi,

your setups, in terms of figures, are good for 2,530 1/min (1,100 kV motor) or 2,420 1/min (1,050 kV), at nominal voltage.
At high loads and battery empty, and if you want to leave the governor some headroom to actually govern, probably 2,030 / 1,930).

So if you're content now, I don't think it's necessary to change the pinion because of the 50 kV difference, while the 12T still might provide a bit more punch.

Might even have helped with the 4025 motor
