it's the same, size-wise and material wise.
The ABS plastic is as resilient as possible, as are the now-common varnishes.
The acrylic plastic (transparent cases) has been discontinued, because it's more brittle (same as transparent plastic on cars, for headlights, rear lights) compared to ABS (as used on bumpers, or car interior. Here, even a small bump could cause the plastic to fracture, or the screw bosses to break.
