Spool up Speed - Nitro

Dear Friends,

I am using a Nitro heli.

When i switch from idle to Run the spool up speed seems to be very rapid.

Is there any way to slow it down?

Hello Ankan,

please tell me more about your switch handling and when the motor is in "idle" - and about the kill switch. Also which acceleration limit is set in the nitro govenor.

General:

Kill switch => seperate Switch, Nitro off (doesn't care which position the motor / and-or-safety switch has)

Motor Switch => Off Position is Nitro Idle, normal spoolup to Run,
Run is for flying,
Idle (Autorot) is enabled (Center) AFTER it was once Run - 10 times fater spoolup when toggling back to run

Hi Rainer,

My kill switch is on a spring switch and my STOP - Idle - Run is on 3 position switch.

Since this is a Nitro, i start my engine at Idle and when i push the switch to run, the spool up is really fast.

I need it to happen slowly.

Could you please advise.

This is the wrong switch handling.

The Motor switch in "Stop" is the Idle on a nitro. Spoolup from here is soft.
The Motor Switch in "Idle(AR)" is for AR during a flight (must have been run before) - when aborting AR to run fast spoolup
The Motor Switch "run" is for flying.

Kill is to turn it off (Carb closed) independent from the motor switch above.

So as per above is what i have.

On the Switch 4 .

(Off- Throttle cut)
(Idle- To Start Engine)
(Run - To fly)

As stated above ...

Motor off is IDLE on a Nitro.

You need the Kill Switch to turn off fully.
