Can I use a VBar Neo with Vsim

I have a spare Neo that I would like to connect up to my PC to use with Vsim.
I have the simulator cable pack, 04910, and I have a standard USB to phono jack cable.
Is this possible?

If so, which port of the Neo should the Audio Jack Adapter Wire be connected to?

Yes - you can - consider about the powerful macrocells ;-)

Recipe:

- connect Audio jack cable to AUX1
- Set Output at AUX1 to a PPM protocol as likely
- Program Macrocells named with "E1" at the beginning as channel and the function you like

The Cells "E1" will be given out at AUX1 with the selected protocol ;-)

Da häng ich mich mal eben dran... geht das ebenfalls mit einer alten Silverline mit Sat? Die hab ich hier herumliegen ...

Das passende Kabel gibt's womöglich bei Euch im Shop und passt an alle gängigen Sims? Ich hab mich damit ewig nicht befasst... aber langsam kommt mein Sohn in das passende Alter...

Hello,
I have purchased a VBar NEO VBasic Receiver that I want to use with my simulator.
I saw in previous posts that one should program macrocells
but do not understand how to do.
Is there anyone who can give a little more detailed instruction to a beginner.

Hi Jörgen,

basically, you set VBasic up so it outputs a PPM signal (PPM8/12 ((channels)) rev. ((if necessary))) or e.g. SBus output, depending on what you connect (to AUX1, then).

Then, you can set up the prefix E1 Channels in Macrocells if required (first check which channels/functions your Simulator already sees, from the interface).

It only requires very little tweaking, usually, but of course we can not try and test all possible combinations.

Macrocell Setup, Configuration.
Digital Input must be set to None, then Digital Output can be set to SBus (RX2Sim accepts SBus).

Then, I'd check what the computer/simulator 'sees' and adjust what is necessary.

But your radio seems to be missing the VBasic Setup App, please check and load from our App Store (free of charge).

And I can choose Extender bus "Active" or "Aux2/Aux3"
I have change rx2sim to sbus.

if you select Digital Input, can you make changes, set it to None for example?

If this is selected, more options appear.

Extender Bus would be for use with more than one VBar NEO interconnected (Active) or the required connectors can be used as regular connectors (AUX2/AUX3). This has no meaning for our purposes.

dumb question, maybe, but did you create a new setup to start with?
Like Create New Receiver in Model Setup, Single Line, e.g. SBus?

I don't have a virgin VBasic on my desk, but if I select this, everything's set properly to start with.

There is no stupid question.
I'm a real beginner.
After I bind the Neo'n, the only new menu that comes up.
-060Set and under this menu I can only configure Macrocells.
There is no menu that I can set up a model, as it looks in my other Neo's.

Hi Jörgen,

OK, then you are still missing the VBasic Setup App in your radio, please load and install it using VBar Control Manager.

In general, if you see a menu entry with a number instead of a name, the menu only shows the entry point in the menu structure, but the corresponding App is missing.
