Low Cyclic Calibration

Low Cyclic Calibration

With some models aiming for a 1 to 1 ratio (vertical pushrods to blade grips) on the swash, the cyclic calibration numbers are getting low.
For example, a Specter v2 with the longer swash balls goes from around 81 to 67 cyclic calibration.

At what point is it too low? Ideally around 100 is better?

It is all about geometry, levers and ratios - combined with available servo throw and servo internal resolution, also servo force and servo speed - and - combined with external control loop output signal (Servo PWM) resolution.

At the end - for best result in precision it will be best to use the complete available servo throw for both, collective and cyclic. This is why we recommend 80-100 on both. If you have low numbers - you will probably speed up a bit but loose precision.
