Will all VBar NEO VLink work with the NEO alum cases?
It says for devices of the 2nd Generation V2 not sure what the V2 is ???

V2 is ... the ones with (VLink) or (no VLink) in your List ...

Is there any way that I can check my neo's to see if they are V2? Hopefully without opening them up smiling smiley They don’t show as V link in my devices, but they do look like the newer style cases by the sticker (doesn’t wrap over the sides) They are arctic white, will you also make a white alloy case?

If it is not shown as vlink... It is V1.

Probably use a torch... If there is a second pcb (satellite) on top of the main board... It is V1.

Hallo Rainer,

ich möchte mir auch ein Alu-Case zulegen. Bisher habe ich eine NEO V1 mit Rettung und eine VLink (V2) Basic.
Nachdem das Alu-Case für die V1-Version nicht angeboten wird (...da habe ich aber alle Apps incl. Rettung drauf) nun meine Frage ob die Rettungsfunktion (das umfasst ja alles (-: ) meiner V1 mit der V2-Basic-Version getauscht werden kann. Nur so kann auf das Alu-Case updaten.
Wäre schön, wenn das klappt.

Is there a case for NEO with 2 PC boards or is there way to make it work with the v2 case?
if not is there anyway to buy a upgrade unit that is a V2 model?

Hi,

I'm afraid the 1st. gen. hardware won't fit the V2 case, the supports for the main board are where the receiver board is in the 1st gen. devices.
If you make room for it, the main board will most probably move inside, and/or it will be difficult to make it fit an a way that there is no tension between the boards, which in turn could lead to the soldering joints breaking early (tension and vibration).

We will look into it if it makes sense to make a case also for V1, but it will take some time.

If you would want to replace your 1st. gen. device by a current one, please contact service (at) mikado-heli (dot) de or create a service request for the device in question, at www.vstabi.info/devices.

Do you know the cost to replace the 1st gen to the current one?
Can my setup be save and put on the current one without have to do setup again?

The setup can of course be transferred, between NEOs, save-load, and we can also offer a voucher code for an existing Pro+/Rescue-License.

The current exchange rate is not in your favor, I'm afraid :-/

But in your case (you live in the U.S.?) I would pre-order from Mikado USA, will probably be quicker and less costly (in shipping), and they can always adjust their existing pre-order with us if they find they need more.

How do they look? On top of the units are they painted
Or are they sticker for the words and lettering? Do they
anything on the inside to cushion the board? Could you post any pictures
Of the unit on the inside ?

they look soooo blue smiling smiley and they have no sticker (like on the rendering), and the lettering is also not painted, so ... what could it be?

The board is held firmly in place, dampening is done by the adhesive pad. An additional point where motion, vibration or better put, resonance can occur would not help.
