E-gov gear ratio

Hello,
I am in the process of setting up an electric Vario Bell 230 and in order to set up the vbar governor i am looking to set the gear ratio at 14.29 however the maximum available ratio in the VBC is 12.70.

I'm sure i have read somewhere that you can half the ratio and adjust the headspeed to suit but just looking for some confirmation please.
