Kontronik Kosmik integration ?

Hi everyone,

I have just bought a vbar control (in transit right now) and I was wondering if there is (or will be) any kosmik integration to reading rpm and stuff.
If not, should it be configurated as generic esc only ?

One thing to clarify:

The ESC Setup Wizard does not configure anything in the VBar or VBar Control.

It is just a Tool to make it possible to program a ESC with the "Stick prgrammings" according to each ESC manual.

Without this tool it will never be possible to turn on the VBar with a full throttle signal at the outputs (safety feature) - but this is needed for ESC programmin through a TX - and so we made this Setup wizard.

For a Jive an YGE we know the procedure and will assist the customer with some info screens. Thats all. At least you can use every one of this screens to set up a ESC with the sticks - following the ESC manual.

and regarding the rpm reading, just use a phase sensor. It gives you accurate rpm reading so you can set your throttle 'points' (no longer a horizontal line of the throttle curve, you actually never needed that with a governor anyway, it was just necessary because it is connected to the collective stick in almost any regular radio).

This way, you do not need a tach on the field, just 'play as you go'

Kontronik is aware of our capabilities and they said they will put more seamless integration on the roadmap for development.

The rpm reading was only a little example but it's clear that should be very very cool read all most important realtime telemetry data about current and stuff from kosmik with their Telme intereface between Vbar and Kosmik module port.

Or change all parameters directly from trasmitter without a Progdisc.

Time will tell if finally it will be possibile change every single parameter from an helicopter from own trasmitter without use laptop and external interfaces anymore :-)

Ah ok! Now it's clear.
So with my Kosmik just will use the generic ESC setup and should be ok.
