Questions about VBar Neo at Logo 800 ?

Hi,

I have just ordered my first Mikado Heli, Logo 800 Xxtreme as combo I hope I will get it with in 5 days.So I start to search and read very details about it.

With combo, I will get "VBar - VStabi "Sliverline" 5.3 XXtreme Pro Edition". As far as I read, it has a special tuned Vbar XXtreme Edition that really makes difference to the way the Logo 800 flies.

At my other helis I use FBL units with Rescue function and feel myself very comfortable. So I want to have same feeling at 800. I am lucky that Vbar Neo with Rescue functions is in market.

But I am worried about Neo configuration and some questions about it.

1- If I decide to buy Vbar Neo and use it at Logo 800, can I get the same performance like special tuned Vbar ? Does anyone try it ?

2- Does VBar Neo have a special software Edition for Xxtreme ?

3- Where can I find sample settings for Vbar Neo for Logo 800, like the one shared for Vbar ?

5- I am using Spektrum DX9 transmitter. So according to that I guess following version without Gyro will be fine for me, right ?

Yes - it will be a bit better (6.1 control loop)

No more longer needed - with VBC we have presets, with other Radios there is a Parameter called "Model Size" (see hovertext there in PC soft).

See Presets in VBC. Anyway - it is a good point to save th old file, open in Simulation (5.3) - and dial in the values into the NEO after a initial complete setup.

Yep - but should be upgraded to pro (w or wO7 rescue) to get full performance.

I think we are talking about "Heli Size" advanced parameter of Main Rotor, right ?? (See attached "Vbar Neo_800 Size"

As far as I understand, you are suggesting to compare both VStabi 5.3 and VStabi NEO's Advanced parameters of flight menu (See attached "Vbar Neo_800 Size" & "Vbar 5_3_Advance"

But as you will notice all parameters are not same. May be it will be better for us if you as a VBC user, can share these parameters for Logo 800. (printscreen of advanced parameter page will also work, I guess)

Thanks for the link. Now the parameters are much more clear.

I have just remember that one of my friend has just bought a VBar Control. So I ask him to set up the Neo with Vbar Templates and spare the parameters. At attach, you can see Vbar Control Setting for Logo 400, Logo 550, 690, 800 and scale.

I am surprised when I investigate them. Except Scale heli, there is ONLY one parameter (Heli Size) that is different according to heli models, all other parameters are same for all these different size helis.

So I can't imagine how Neo will have same performance like special tuned Vbar Sliverline at logo 800. May I missing something ??

You are not missing anything. The Size Parameter is coupled to several internal control loop parameters. This replaces the special version for XXtreme even better. Of course depending on the Servos or other changes like blades or different head dampenings some personal fine tuning may be needed. Thats no difference to the Silverline.
