Has Mikado come out with a fix or upgrade for the problem battery clip?

Hi Charles,

afaik, the side frame is still unchanged. The sliding and locking mechanism design is originally from OMP, was just taken over into our side frame layout.
I know it's been reported, and I hope it will be changed with an oncoming batch, but I can not tell for sure.
I will ask of course, would make sense to change it of course.

The side frames are pretty thin, obviously, and there's not much space, not much material, so it will always be a weak spot.

I myself found that there's not much force, not much in the way of lifting the lever needed, to unlock the battery.
If it sticks, it's mainly because of the battery plate and the guides.

Kind regards

Eddi

I broke my battery latch also. Haven’t flown the heli and … snap. It’s easy to break. Perhaps if the cut was longer it will give the CF more flex.

I made an attachment using a feeler gauge since the metal is spring metal. You could also use the metal found on brake pads. I cut the metal using a metal shear and drilled the holes.
