Max battery size suggestion

Hello,
I wonder what is the maximum battery size/weight recommended for the Logo 600SX heli.
Until now I have used Gens Ace 3700mah 60C and I am using Gens Ace 4000mah 45C right now, but I am planning to change the batteries and I wonder if could be a good idea to use 4500mAh if they fits into the plastic airframe.

Regards,
JC

Hi,

iirc 4,500 mAh (10s) is about the maximum you can do within the center of gravity – depending on the battery size and weight of course.

Comparatively light 5,000s (like GensAce or Hacker Eco X) will also work, but I'm not familiar with the current sizes and weights, it's been some time since I dirt-torpedoed mine and never re-built it.

Again, iirc pilots using heavy-duty 5,000s had to add some weight to the tail to balance the model, but that also depends to some degree on the motor/ESC combo you use (and the respective weight there).

Kind regards

I forgot to mention I am using 12s in the heli. Have a Jive 80+HV with Pyro 600-11 motor.

Probably I will continue with 4000mAh lipos instead going to 4500. I prefer a lighter heli.

Hi,

12s would be 3,500 roundabout (3,300 or 3,700 usually), or light 4,000s might also work, CoG-wise.
4,500 are probably already too much (to get the CoG right without extra weight), from the battery compartment's size you could go bigger of course.

Same here, I prefer a lighter machine.

Kind regards
