05110 Canopy LOGO 550 neon yellow/orange

Hi

i have a 550SX V2 , i purchased 05110 Canopy LOGO 550 neon yellow/orange to replace a beat up canopy. it doesnt fit. what else do i need to make fit or its not possible?

i did also purchase 05132 Canopy holders LOGO 500/550SX (V3)

Hi,

all 500 canopies fit all 500s (same for 600s but the 690). With the canopy holders, at least, they are different, but you could also adjust the existing ones.

Where does it not fit? Maybe you didn't notice that the 550 has a longer stance, front skid bow to the front skid mount, like on the 600?

If it's only tight, you can always sand the front recesses a bit, where they fit the front skid bow. Do a couple of iterations, always taking away only so much, so it doesn't become a loose fit.

Hi,

as you can see, the front cut-outs would fit if the skid bow was mounted to the front mounting points (like on a 600).
Then, you would have to adjust the canopy holders front (so they touch but do not distort the canopy) and back (so the canopy closes properly, job done.
Again, if it's a tight fit, you can sand the front cut-outs carefully until it fits perfectly, or cut them a bit more so edge protectors fit, if you want that.
