VBAR not binding/online updates

I purchased a used VBAR, its registered to me now. Will be using a Spektrum DX-18 w/two DSMX Satellites. I did a regressive firmware update as previous owner had it updated to his VBAR Controller. When I go to online updates, it won't allow. Please advise on how to rectify this? I believe it may be locked? Also, under my devices, what is Options tab really do other than list what version it has, is this actual VBAR settings saved, or when you go down to "download recovery software" or only if you saved under program manager?

As this is a old V5 Vbar i will move this thread into the V5 Archive section in a few days.

The VBar was loaded with a V6 (whic is ONLY for VBC and disables USB ... ). So to use it with 3rd party transmitters:

- load recovery
- request license key / use it
- load V5.3 online
- check/redo setup
